Saturday: 5 course menu with one seating and ticket pre-sales via website. The Saturday dinner has an event character featuring special themed menus and occasional guest chefs.
Founded by vegan cookbook author and chef Sophia Hoffmann. Gluten-free options available. LGBTQI+ friendly space. Dogs allowed. Open Tue-Fri 18:00-22:00.
Closed Sat-Sun. Dinner on Thur/Fri only with pre-booking/ticket via website.

Das Happa Restaurant ist eines meiner persönlichen happy places. Ein Ort der mich glücklich macht und mich noch nie enttäuscht hat. Das Essen ist großartig und besonders, die Preise mehr als fair und die Optik der Gerichte verspricht einiges. Wer Wert auf Nachhaltigkeit, eine schöne Atmosphäre und ein lovely service team legt, ist hier in Kreuzberg total richtig. Vor allem die saisonalen 5 Gang Dinner Menüs haben es mir angetan, aber auch das kleine Happa für einen schmaleren Taler kann sich sehen lassen. Ich war vor kurzem mit einer größeren Gruppe dort und habe noch den ganzen nächsten Tag von dieser schönen Erfahrung gezehrt. Vor allem die Kommunikation im vorneherein war sehr professionell und liebevoll. Dieses Restaurant ist einfach so gut durchdacht, von den Bio Zutaten über den Kaffee bis hin zum Interior, der Wanddeko, der Hundecollage und der Getränkekarte (nice drinks, auch alkoholfreie).

It was a lovely meal and I love the whole concept of it but I felt some of the dishes weren't that great. Me and my friend shared everything so ordered one of each of the items on the menu and the bread was the highlight of the meal, the desserts were pretty good but that's all the positives I can say about my experience. I also felt the meals lacked protein and I just didnt feel like the meals were well rounded, it was just lacking. Slighlty disappointing but still enjoyable

It is hard to rate a restaurant based on a rotating menu. I had higher expectations, but it came with a price (literally).

We visited HAPPA's Italy themed 5-course saturday dinner event. The owners were super friendly and the service was great. The vegan non-alcoholic wine pairing was such a nice surprise to find, and the drinks were really interesting and tasty. The food had some fun and interesting flavor combinations as well!

Read more3-Gänge-Menü für 38 Euro, einzelne Vorspeise und Dessert für 8 Euro. Dass alle Zutaten bio und lokal sind, ist natürlich auch super.
Nur die hausgemachte Pflaumenlimo war etwas nichtssagend.

The five course dinner was more of a fine dining experience so expect high prices and very small portions. The food was delicious though and the restaurant‘s zero-waste, organic, women-owned, leaf-to-root concept is amazing. The non-alcoholic wine pairing was so cool too! Only real con was it was extremely uncomfortable. We were placed in the back room, which I had never seen photos of online before. Our table was wedged between the back door exit, the wardrobe, and the bathroom, which only has one toilet so people are always waiting outside it. The ambiance was very disappointing compared to how cozy the front room looked. Also the tables and chairs felt like old school classroom school furniture, which were very hard and became uncomfortable fast. Maybe we just got unlucky and had the worst seat in the house but it ruined the experience for us unfortunately.

Thank you for your feedback. We constantly work on making our guest's experience as comfy and enjoyable as possible. Indeed the chairs we have (in both guest rooms) are vintage school chairs from Denmark, we have been making them more comfortable with cushions since then and we are also constantly working in the interior/ decoration of our place, we have a tight budget so we have to do it step by step. We hope you come back so you can have a better experience.

this place has been an amazing addition to the berlin food scene, whether you are vegan or not. i've been here several times already, mostly for lunch, but just recently went to a dinner event that had a focus on locally sourced legumes (ie chickpeas, lentils and different kinds of beans from the area around berlin). the dishes were original and super tasty, it's been a while since i had so much fun in a restaurant, discovering new foods (like a chocolate mousse made of chickpeas 🤯🤤). between the courses there were short talks, among others by the local producers, on the benefits and challenges of growing legumes in the area. super interesting and highly relevant in terms of climate change and adaptation. the owners obviously not only care about serving high quality and delicious vegan food, which they do, but also the political dimension of food, which i really appreciate.

They had so many types of vegan cheese, the food was super well done and tasty, hats off to the Sophia and the chefs, I took my family for a special dinner out and they all loved it. They also make a short speech to tell you all about the food, the concept and where it all came from. Nice artworks about the african women who make the coffee too.

We arrived minutes after the kitchen closed but they were kind enough to make a sandwich for us. It was very delicious. AND they have pics of their customers dogs hanging in the bathroom. That alone makes it a good place.
