はなうた Cafe at 松阪市久米町1334 offering a set lunch menu which changes every week. Last order 2:30pm. A mix of traditional Japanese and home spun Americana architecture adds to the dining experience. Also sells packaged flour, snacks, pasta, sauces. Directions: from the station exit walk right, and there will be signs directing you to the restaurant at nearby intersections. Feb 28, 2016 reported it's still operating. Open Mon-Wed 11:30am-3:30pm, Fri-Sat 11:30am-3:00pm. Closed on public holidays. Hours change frequently - check website.

What an absolute gem: traditional japanese house, the people there were extremely friendly (and we could even communicate in english), and the vegetarian (vegan) food was absolutely delicious -

The place is very cute and full of local people. Everything is vegan and Japanese, it's one my best place in Japan :)
