Be careful

Been here a few times since they put the pulled shitake mushroom back on the menu. The food is fresh, filling and seems fairly healthy for fast food. We like the free little pots on the counter of sauces and extras ie chopped onion, herbs etc.
When I was new to Guzman Y Gomez I met a friend for lunch, we ordered items with vegan cheese, but they put dairy cheese in our items which we didn't realise until we bit into our food 🙁 They were quick to rectify the issue and replaced the food items with no cheese at all. The next time I went I was told they don't do vegan cheese and never have! Instead they can swap out the cheese with vegan herb mayo (which isn't quite the same but better than nothing). Was surprised that when we requested vegan cheese the first time they didn't tell us that they only serve dairy cheese, so my advice is if you're new to Guzman Y Gomez be careful when ordering to avoid mix ups and don't assume they have vegan cheese like we did.
Quite a few vegan options are available, and they do drive thru too.
The photo I posted is the Pulled Shitake Mushroom Burrito with vegan herb mayo, there were tomatoes etc further down the burrito.
