Thoroughly unimpressive

This branch of Greg Cafe is situated in the middle of a mall, with zero ambiance and surrounded by loudness. It's an excercise in futility trying to get the attention of the wait staff (it's easier to get up and follow them for something).

We ordered Fried Cauliflower, Vegan Schwarma, the Asian Vegetable Stir Fry, and the toast salad. I couldnt taste the fried cauliflower because it's not vegan, but that worked out as the serving size was miniscule and there wasn;t enough anyway. There were nine tiny florets on a mostly empty plate. It looked pathetic. The vegan Schwarma for 54 shekels tasted like the exact same Vege-Schwarma meat that coffix used to sell for 6 shekels, but stuffed in a big laffa with soggy unfresh vegetables. The asian stir fry was okay and they substituted rice noodles for egg noodles to make it vegan which I appreciated. The portion was on the smaller side, it had no protein (tofu would have been a really nice option here) and the flavor was unremarkable. The best thing we had was the Vegan toast salad which was like a big caesar salad with a nice vegan dressing and lots of "Large-crouton" sized pieces of vegan cheese-stuffed toast.

If you happen to be in the mall and are hungry, Greg is an okay option, but i certainly would not go out of my way for a meal here.

Pros: Convenient location

Cons: Below average quality food, w/limited flavors, Expensive with small portions, Loud with Zero Ambiance

Received hostile service

The waiter got my order wrong and refused to correct his mistake, insisting that I misunderstood what I was ordering and it was my mistake. Refused to waive the bill when my wife and I stood up and left.

Cons: Bad food, bad service

Great selection

Everybody will find something to eat there: salads, pizza, sandwiches, Asian and Israeli food, all on a separate menu. Staff is friendly, food tastes great.

great variety of vegan choices

Vegan dishes on a seperate i pad menu in various languages.
Big portions, tasted well, healthy options and gluten free available.

Confusion: In the vegan map was pizza with vegan cheese. Tuna was one of the choices to put on.pizza. waiter said that they have vegan cheese, but no vegan tuna. Probably mistake in the menu.

Cons: bread, pita, etc was slightly burnt.

very good salads and big portions

Very nice salads in big portions! The chocolate cake was surprisingly amazing. Too baf the place is indoor in a commercial centre. Costly as anything in Eilat.

Pros: chocolate cake

Cons: costly and indoor location

Delicious Vegan Options

A separate tab on their iPad me us for vegan options, which included tasty Avocado Eggplant sandwich, Vegan Shwarma, and Bulgar Lentil Salad. Service was excellent and friendly. A nice option in Eilat, which does not appear to have an all-veg'n restaurants.
