Small Corner Store - Edit
Friendly owner and partner duo in quiet part of North Beach area. I had doughnut and coffee. They have a few hot food options that I have not tried. The store also had a small section for grocery with a few vegan items on shelf and refrigerator.

It may be small, but it has a wealth of deliciousness to offer--don't miss it (and particularly the donuts) if you are in the area!
Read moreCoffee was very good, and the donuts are not to be missed. Particularly the lemon poppyseed (which I was told is the most popular), but all of the flavors, are perfect. Sweet, not too sweet for a donut, very delicate fluffy texture, just wonderful.
I hope to take advantage of some of the many excellent vegan products they carry on absolutely necessary future visits!

Green Taste Vegan Goods - Edit
This is a really great addition to the neighborhood. Green Taste Vegan Goods offer many vegan staples, some artisanal vegan cheeses from local companies, fresh vegan doughnuts, and they also have a small deli section. I tried the borscht from the deli and it was fine. Unfortunately, they were out of sour cream so I was only able to taste the soup without it… Perhaps the soup may have tasted better with the sour cream. I'll give it another try next time I'm in town.

All-vegan groceries need to be a thing in SF and Green Taste is setting that precedent. Great selection of vegan items and the donuts are amazing. Their Lemon Poppy seeds are my absolute favourite!

Amazing doughnuts - Edit
I went to this place a couple of times when I was travelling earlier this year in February/March (just before the COVID lock downs started to happen) and tried some of their baked goods. They had some of the best doughnuts that I've ever tried. I also brought a few other vegan grocery items while I was there. It's run by a cute super friendly couple and Davier (I think that's his name) even remembered me when I came back a second time a few weeks after my first visit. Wish I lived closer so I could visit more often and will definitely visit them again the next time I'm in SF (once this pandemic is over!)
