Such a delightful place - Edit
These friendly sisters really know what they are doing. They have a lovely vegan restaurant that serve super tasty homemade food! Does it get any better!? Talk about clean eating.... They use fresh local/organic ingredients and I can vouch for the Greek salad, avocado salad, schnitzel, tofu nuggets and the cheeseburger. The feta on the Greek salad was AMAZING! The burger was made with lentils and beans and was so flavorful! We will definitely be frequenting this restaurant! Thank you ladies!!

love it! - Edit
I went to the place twice while I was here. They have great breakfasts and I love the setting. I would lay on the mats while waiting for my food and tan and enjoy the sounds of nature and the palm tree shadow. The owners are very nice Israeli ladies who are always around and love to chat and talk about veganism :D they also have a dog, a cat, a duck and while I was here they were fostering a baby pig! Great vibes at that place!

Great food but... - Edit
...unfortunately not very friendly staff or rather owner. During our stay she was some kind of stroppy and snippy. But like I already mentioned in the title, the menu is huge and the food is great! Would have given 4 out of 5 stars only for the food.

I'm all about that shawarma - Edit
Green Gallery's menu is RIDICULOUSLY huge. I couldn't even comprehend it. But as soon as I saw that shawarma, I just zeroed right in on it. And boy oh boy was it oh so fine. This was meaty, wholesome, rocking a perfect amount of tzatziki with all its contents lovingly cradled in a soft, warm pita.
Read moreOn my second visit, I ordered the sabich, which was also really satisfying.
On Friday nights, Green Gallery holds free gatherings with a fireplace and open mic that's super popular with the expat, hippy and yogi communities in Koh Phangan - worth a look if you get the chance!
Pros: Huge menu with incredible food, Laid back hippy vibes, Warm, family-run environment

We wandered over to this place due to the vegan options available, and were not disappointed.
Read moreThis place has such an awesome energy about it, the staff here just exude good energy, the whole garden area is really cool (unfortunately we missed the weekend live music), and the food is absolutely top notch. The flavour balance is perfect, portion size excellent, and really really tasty.

Best Vegan Food on the Planet - Edit
I must have ate at Green Gallery at least 10 times and I can say honestly that it's not only the best vegan food I've tried but some of the best food I have ever had in my life. Every dish is a creation within itself - it's purely art. The ingredients used with the flavors that they create makes every bite absolutely appetizing. My favorite dish is the Vegan Kebab Plate! It is the closest imitation meat I have tried to the real thing- the hummus- dips- salad and chips combination is delicious! The owners are beautiful people, incredibly talent and very welcoming! This is a must stop on the island of Koh Phangan!

Good food, nice menu - Edit
They have a nice wide menu. I had After party breakfast, that included a big salad, vegan cream cheese, bread, chickpea omelet and a fresh coconut. I love the idea of this dish, because many people come to party in Koh Phangan and after that you don´t want to chew lettuce and drink carrot juice. I can buy lettuce and bland vegetables at the market. When I go to a restaurant, I want my food to taste good. At Green Gallery they understand that being vegan doesn´t mean that you are a health freak.

vegan cheese - Edit
The restaurant and the atmosphere is amazing. The staff is also really friendly.
Read moreThe best we had was definitely the vegan cheese plate! It was something next level! Its not on the menu but if you ask for it and you get lucky they will have it!
They also offering you the recipes but unfortunately without any proportions. So you have to find out on your own which means you will have a lot of vegan cheese until you found out which is not bad at all.
For breakfast you should choose the English Set.
Everything else we had was also very good!!!

A bit disappointed - Edit
The first time we went to Green Gallery my boyfriend and I had the cheese burger and the shawarma sandwich as our mains. The food was good, but the chips that came with the sandwich were very greasy. The second time we were here we had the avocado sandwich and a dish (don't remember the name) with tofu, sausage, tomato sauce, aubergine and pita bread. All I could taste in the avocado sandwich was Asian basil (very different to European basil) which I am not a fan of. The other dish was way too oily and liquid. The tahini that came with the dish was very bitter. Definitely mention if you don't like fresh coriander as they use it a lot (I am one of those people that can't stand the taste so I couldn't eat the salad that came with it and had to pick out the coriander of every dish). Maybe we were just unlucky, especially the second time, but if you like healthy food I think there are better places in the area.

Dear friend,
Read moreFirstly I am very sorry you had a disappointing experience at our restaurant, we do our best to satisfy our customers as you can see on previous reviews.
I would like to point out that we do not brand yourself as a healthy restaurant but as a vegan restaurant only and we ourselves (the owners) are vegan purely for the moral reason of this lifestyle and not of health reason and we brand our restaurant as such.
As you can see by the menu, we follow the middle eastern cuisine as we are in our origins and so coriander is a very common ingredient in our food, how ever many of our customers ask us to make their dish without and we are always happy to follow those life of requests. If you had only requested to leave the coriander we would gladly.
Also, the Shakshuka (the dish you could not remember the name) is a traditional Israeli dish done with a log of olive oil and if you didn't like it we would have happily change your dish and recommend one without oil.
I personally invite you for a another visit to try a different dish on the house to correct the disappointing experience you had and would like to mention that a 3 star review is highly damaging to our restaurant.
We would like to continue our work of speeding the vegan lifestyle to the world.
With love and gratitude,
Einav Dahan from Green Gallery

All you need is love 😊✌ - Edit
Green Gallery has everything you need and so much more that you'll just flat out want. Shawarma! (always a favourite) made in house with passion and dedication, labneh soft cheese! The first I've had since being vegan. We are spoilt for choice here and the sisters (of mercy) who own and run the place are vegan goddesses. A new menu is in the works and I tried the new prototype shish kebab which is incredible and inventive. Very very lucky me.
Read moreThe surroundings are relaxed, unpretentious and an extension of the owners and the island beach vibe, which becomes very groovy around the fire on Friday nights. A passion for making food from scratch, sincerity and hard work are what make Green Gallery an absolute must and my top pick 😊✌🌱🌏💚
Pros: It's like coming home every time you return 😊
Cons: Not being able to live there 😊

Awesome place! - Edit
So, after browsing a lot of the vegan options on Koh Phangan, I stumbled over Green Gallery. At first, I was very satisfied with everything and the service is great! I got the English breakfast with chickpea omelet and sausages. No doubt the best vegan sausages I've ever had. I wanted to ask the brand for the sausages and the burger as I was SURE it was factory made. Then I tried the shawarma, and I had to ask. The lovely lady told me that everything they serve is hand made. mind = blown. I mean the effort put in to make everything is immense! The vegan cheese, the seitan, the tofu, cream cheese the sausages, EVERYTHING IS HOMEMADE!
Read moreI can highly recommend this place. every Friday there is a bonfire and jamming music event, don't miss it!
I recommend: English breakfast, Eggplant rolls (starter), Hummus, Falafel plate, Eggplant sandwich, Shawarma plate.
The dessert are not made at the restaurant but by some other guys at the island.
This place is one of my favorite places in the world!
Pros: Great great food!, Everything home made!, Desserts!

great food, plenty of options - Edit
Nice cafe with a good vibe. Food is really nice and comes out quickly. We had passionfruit kombucha, a green juice and a fruit smoothie. All very tasty. The menu has a good range of raw and cooked foods. Lots of healthy options and some naughtier ones like the tofu nuggets which were so tasty! Really good food. Recommend the pies and the veggie balls in rich red sauce.

Delicious but not the healthiest - Edit
Very comfy restaurant in a chilled setting, they had classical music playing and there were books that I was even allowed to borrow for a deposit. The menu is very extensive, they have something for everyone. The food was delicious, the only downside was that everything was covered in oil. I ordered the hummus and veggies, and it had a massive layer of olive oil on it, and even the 8 small pieces of veggies for dipping were completely oily. Bummer! Would tell them to leave it off next time. Tasty though!

The best vegan restaurant in koh phangan - Edit
I came to green gallery after watching the happycow video about koh phangan with high expectations, I was very happy to find out I came to the right place. As a person who is trying to be vegan I was surprised by the amazing flavore of the vegan "meat balls" in the "peppa pig" sandwich I chose out of the huge menu. It was hard to chose but I was recommended by the staff that was wanderful, friendly and attentive. I had a "beauty juice" made out of carrots, pineapple and basil. It was a wanderful combination. I was seating in the garden which seamed to be well designed in a Mediterranean style. There where a duck and a cat playing around the garden and making friends with the guests. It was a great axperiance and I can't wait to go back and try more of the delicious options in the menu. And also to visit the duck again :)

Went here for lunch. Nice vibe and pleasant setting in the jungle. Also easy to find.
Read moreFood was freshly prepared and tasted great. There's a varied menu - but not excessively large - which should cater for all. Lots of Middle Eastern influenced options.
Prices are extremely reasonable.
Loses 1 star because I was underwhelmed by the service, which was okay but not that friendly or personal. This is something they could put a little more effort into because it seemed aloof.
Overall, recommended.
Pros: good range of choices, price
Cons: service

Delicious - Edit
I stayed in koh phangan for a month & only discovered green gallery after a week or so of being there. For the next three weeks I ate there just about every day. So many options on the menu that it was always hard to decide. They have delicious breakfasts, salads, fruit shakes, hummus, shawarma, falafel. They offer small bites & big portions. Super good sandwiches & home made potatoe chips. Their sauces are really good too. They are very helpful & kind & have the cutest little daughter ! & a pet duck ! The artwork inside is very nice & they always play good music. There is indoor & outdoor seating. I love it. My favorite place I've eatin while traveling through south east Asia. So many vegan options but perfect for non vegans as well ! Go visit & enjoy a meal & chill out! Much love & light !
