Love this place!

This is genuinely one of my favorite cafes – I’m going to call it #2 after Cafe Flora in Seattle.

The cauliflower cremini stir-fry, carrot-ginger soup, & vegan tempeh tacos were all just fantastic. (We loved our lunch so much we genuinely ordered 3 times in our visit – first we added seconds to lunch & then we got more to take home for dinner 😂)

After a first visit last year, I questioned whether it was worth a special trip to make it there again this year – I won’t question that again next year, answer always yes

Houston likes the Green Door

Exceptional flavors! Wade cooks up vegan comfort food like no other. Delicious bbq bowl, tempeh tacos, and dessert (raspberry cheese cake).

Cute cafe with several veg options

They have several marked vegan items including a portabella bowl and tempeh. They also can make other vegan items upon request. Their menu noted that the daily soup is usually vegan. The food was really great. A great option in Astoria.

Feels healthy

The menu leans towards paleo/keto w/some veg. Had the mushroom cauliflower stir-fry and it was satisfying and also felt healthy. There are several fresh juice options (mixed veg and fruit) and a couple of smoothie options; my berries and greens was good.
