Wonderful surprise

We tried 2 other ‘recommended’ places, first had no vegan options available, second had packed up its ‘special make your own’ and only had pre-made wraps and sandwiches, none vegan.
Walked across the road to this place and found a beautiful Middle Eastern Salad, friendly staff and a cute shop as well!

Pros: Staff, Food options, Nice shop to wander through

What a scam

I ordered a halloumi salad and it had “vegan option available” sign, but what it actually meant was , just have the exact same salad but without halloumi and without the sauce which was yogurt based.
That’s literally a bloody scam. You pay the same price and don’t get anything else instead, that’s not a vegan option. that is just so unfair. I asked them to add more chickpeas as they didn’t have anything else to add instead of the cheese. My friends ordered the vegetarian one and they had exactly the same amount of chickpeas as I did even though I was supposed to have extra. I asked the waitress and she said that they added more but it definitely wasn’t the case. Makes me so frustrated when restaurants are claiming they have vegan options and then this is what it means. It’s so misleading. Service wasn’t great either.. they should be understanding if they are trying to sell food for vegans as well and not getting pissed off when I’m asking something so understandable. The other savoury vegan option from the menu would’ve been bean tacos but they didn’t have them and that would’ve probably meant again take cheese out and pay the same price. So if you’re a vegan DO NOT GO HERE .

Cons: Expensive considering what you actually get, Poor service, Not vegan friendly at all

Not really vegan but accommodating.

Finding a vegan breakfast in Port Campbell can be quite a challenge. We decided to try our luck with Grassroots Deli Cafe even thought the only vegan item listed on the menu was Granola. After asking the staff about vegan options they were happy to do a vegan version of their Bean Burrito special and it turned out to be a great vegan breakfast. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. If you’re reading this review I’d say give it a go and have a chat to the staff - they’ve proved they can make a good vegan breakfast, if they see the demand they will most likely add some permanent options to the menu.

Pros: Can make a good vegan breakfast if requested

Cons: Granola is the only vegan option on the menu
