Chef Mama K is amazing as always - Edit
The food here is really good. The service was also very friendly. Chef Mama K is so kind and personable. The food is top notch. I’ll always come back. Try their Bombay, Posole, or Kombucha!

Great Food, Great Staff - Edit
My boyfriend and I were pleased to have so many vegan options to choose from! We grabbed the soup of the day and two slices of chocolate chip banana bread. Staff was super nice and attentive. Highly recommended! We will eat here again.

It's a must when visiting NewBo! - Edit
My husband & I visited NewBo yesterday. Prior to arriving, I had looked up all of the businesses that had space. On Grandma's Root Cellar's FB page, they had listed their tomato sandwich on toasted bread. I was intrigued, so that's what I ordered. Vegan, toasted white bread with homemade mayo and what looked like IOWA tomatoes. It was delicious. I spoke with the proprietor for a little bit. They are a gem! Try Grandma's Root Cellar. You won't be sorry.

The Posole soup was out of this world! I stopped in for dinner, then went back to pick up another wrap for tomorrows lunch. Definitely worth stopping in!

Great addition to New Bo - Edit
I work across the aisle from Mama K in NewBo market, and am really excited to have another place offering so many vegan options. Getting the soup/wrap combo is a really good value, and her food never disappoints. She makes an effort to include local produce and collaborates well with other vendors in the Market. Check out her selection of jams and hot sauces (I loved the "Draw One") and ask her about the inspiration behind her food.
