Comimos el menu del dia y ese dia todo era vegano. Degustad la veganesa casera, increible. Nos atendieron muy correctamente. Un sitio recomendable en el casco antiguo de Arica.
My wife and I had lunch here today, and it was great. We got the set menu: soup with noodles and seitan, mains - tofu with rice (filled with onion, green peppers and seitan) and potatoes with soya-based mayo, and seitan with the same things. We also got desert as part of the set menu, which was like a pineapple rice pudding. It was affordable, and we were stuffed. Brush up on your Spanish, as the waiter couldn't speak English at all, but we managed to get by anyway.
large pino empanadas the were delightful and scrumptious. Also had a plate each of the vegan specials for the day. Grilled tofu and a seitan Lomita each served with a gingery fried rice accent with lots of green onions and a large potato slice with delicious vegan mayo. The grilled tofu was the slightly sour kind grilled with some spices. The seitan Lomita was a little hard to cut but still deliciously spiced and pan fried. Desert not vegan :(
this place is the first authentic hare krishna restaurant i have been to. the food is balanced and yummy and it all comes on a metal tray like in high school for $3. The herbal tea was delicious. the meal was a veg curry with brown rice, salad, whole grain bread and chocolate pudding with coconut. they are only open for lunch.
