Read moreOrdered Gora's Grill last night and absolutely loved it. They are all vegan now, and it is really nice to have a local restaurant nearby we can order from without having to stress.
We ordered the Chik'n burger, the Fowl Ball burger, Masala Fries, and Nest Nuggets. All of it was delicious. The Nest Nuggets are more like chickpea fritters than nuggets, so adjust your expectations so you aren't potentially disappointed if you wanted nuggets. But frankly, chickpea fritters are great, and we devoured these.
The Seiten chicken they used for both of the burgers was excellent. The Masala Fries were the MVP of the meal - truly a revolution in seasoned fries. Now, if we can get them to put the masala spices on their sweet potato fries, I think we'll be winning.
At the end of the day, our meal was really cheap. Two burgers and two sides/appetizers came in under 30 bucks, which is pretty wild. We thought something must have gotten missed when we saw the total.
Anyway, this is a local veg place we are excited to still have around, and we look forward to visiting them again.

We got carry-out from here last night. This place has taken over for the now closed Veg-o-rama Ypsilanti. It is located close to the university on a busy one-way street. The building itself isn't anything special but not off-putting, and the staff was friendly and helpful. You can order online via grubhub for delivery or carry-out.
The food was pretty good. The menu is relatively simple but with a lot of customization and flexibility. Everything is vegetarian with vegan options. Essentially to pick a base (burger buns, rice bowl, wrap), a protein (and they have a lovely variety), add sauce (they have several), and choose additional toppings.
The biggest gripe we had is they don't provide any information online anywhere about which sauces are vegan and which are only vegetarian. We had to do some best guesses, which was very uncomfortable.
Still, the food was good. Great flavors, really enjoyed the masala fries. Had to reheat some of the food when we got home but we were pleased once we did so.
With some greater transparency to customers about their food (specifically regarding what is vegan and what is not) and some more time and experience, this could be a great veg gem.
UPDATE: After contacting the restaurant, they report that all the sauces are vegan except for the honey mustard.

And the food is too! The Bird's Nest burger is the best veggie burger I've had, distinct from a mock meat burger by being made of a veggie-blend chickpea fritter. I usually don't like veggie burgers cuz they tend to get soft and mush, but these have a great taste and unique texture I find enjoyable. I also got the Chik'n burger that uses a soy-wheat protein that's more flakey than uniform like with seitan, which makes for a great chicken alternative.
You can order a wrap and bowl with the proteins as well, like the Bird's Nest fritters and chik'n😄Ordered with masala fries and a strawberry mint lemonade.
They're prices are also great, 2 of any of their classic burgers for $10! I'll definitely come back for more!

A large menu, with unique flavors! Burger focused, but they also have wraps, bowls and quesadillas. They have impossible burgers, but also unique ones like the bird's nest (fried chickpea), and vegan chicken.

Highly upset with my service today. The employees watched 4 women stand in the parking spot in front of the business and made me wait while their friend drove around to park there. It was two parking spots they could have let me get one. So I just waited, I didn’t know if they were protesting or what so I parked behind them and entered behind them. Now I have to wait for all of them to order and at this point I’m frustrated because they could’ve let me park and order but since they were more important than me and entitled and Caucasian I had to wait. I was the only melanated person there. So I murmured u guys are so special! And entitled! One of the ladies turned around and got in my face and my space so I said back the [censored] up and let it go and ordered next door. I come back outside to multiple police cars they called them and told them I blocked them from parking! They were all talking to the police, remind you, I am a regular customer there. I’m completely disgusted and feel as though if I were Caucasian this would have never happened. Just another Karen calling the police after I let them have their way. And the employees laughed and continued to take their order although I arrived there first and they cut in front of me. This is what happens when u support the wrong people. The police told me they said I blocked them from parking(lies) then told me I can leave. I’m thinking some of the workers are racist after today.

Wow! This is my new favorite spot in the area and I’ll be sure to stop in anytime I’m passing through! If I lived closer I’d be in here a lot! Food is cheap fair priced and healthy and you feel good after eating! Some very good healing food!! The drinks are good too got the strawberry mint lemonade! So many great sauces to choose from!

Not enough cheese on my cheese fries to make the extra $1.50 worth it. The sweet & spicy sauce just tasted like vinegar infused with chilies. They tried to tell me that "all sauces were vegan," so I replied "even the honey mustard?" Then he corrected himself. The GF wrap option isn't available to select online.

Vegan Gem - Edit
We stopped during travel and were pleasantly surprised. This is a sandwich/bowl shop with quinoa bowls and vegan chicken, Beyond Burgers, Seitan, Jackfruit and several vegan sauces. Even our non-Vegan friends loved their meals!
