Upmarket vegan restaurant that serves a wide selection of Western and Thai dishes. Menu offers all-day breakfast items like tofu scramble and smoothie bowls plus dishes like veggie burgers with potato wedges, fresh spring rolls, curry with rice, falafel pita, penne pasta, pancakes with coconut whipped cream, papaya salad, and Asian noodle soup. Great vegan food - Edit
I went with my non-vegan friends and they all loved it. The mango smoothie is to die for and so are the mango pancakes. I went in April which I heard is mango season so that might have had something to do with it too.
Read moreThe Chiang Mai specialty noodles were really good. The regular version at other restaurants is with egg noodles so it might be quite rare to find a vegan version. The scrambled tofu was probably seasoned with black salt for egg flavour. My non-vegan friend said it tasted exactly like egg. I really liked the dip (aioli?) that comes with the french fries. The quinoa burger with grilled eggplant was okay but not that special.
Sweet menu:
The cashew cream layered cake tasted a bit like tiramisu and I'm not such a fan of that flavour but you'll like it if you are! The mango passion fruit cheese cake was nice but not very firm. I've had better vegan cheesecakes. The golden milk was quite strong. Do try the mango smoothie and lassi and the mango pancakes! You won't regret it.
I'd definitely go back to try out all the other menu items!

Cons: Quinoa eggplant burger wasn't that special, Cheesecake could be firmer, Golden milk was too strong for me

One of three restaurants in Chiang Mai with the same menu (others are reform café and downtown restaurant). I had a bruschetta here, which was super flavourful. Probably most delicious bruschetta I ever had. I want to have avocado toast but they were out of avocado (seems to be a thing with many vegan restaurants here). Quality of all three related restaurants seems to always be good.

2026: Better experience the second time around; probably as it was quieter. We had a Philly steak cheese sandwich & falafel in tomato sauce (the latter was better). The service was quick, the portions were big and the food was good.
Read more2023: Came here on Christmas Day. Bit disappointed we couldn’t order the pizzas as they said there was a queue (only have one pizza oven?) so ordered some vegan steaks & a mash and falafel dish. The first was really good, the mash dish got a bit samey after a while. Got the Black Forest cake which wasn’t as sweet as I would have hoped and I struggled to taste the cherries in it. Service was ok although atmosphere was lacking with no music on for most of our stay. Had expected more, particularly for the price.

Ate an amazing burger and shake here. Lovely atmosphere, more of a modern restaurant than most places in Chiang Mai. Beetroot burger tasted great, really! Has (actual) airconditioning inside. Bit pricier, but really worth it for once in a while😄

I have had several items at this point from appetizers, salad, entrees, and desserts. Everything has been amazing. I know I give a lot of 5 star ratings, but it's because I don't like giving reviews on mediocre food. This is one of my favorite vegan restaurants in the world. You will be very happy if you go to Goodsouls.

They have the most delicious pancakes, gluten-free by default (made with rice flour) and of course vegan. The menu offers many amazing options, we went there for breakfast but could have easily gone multiple times, at different times of the day. We loved their selection of smoothies too.

I ordered a Bagel sandwich which came with a side dill potato salad. It had avocado, onions, tomatoes and their own homemade cashew cheese spread and slice. The sandwich in itself really flavourful made with fresh ingredients. The potato salad was easily one of the best one's i've had. Decent Americano. They also provide water without charge in a glass bottle to be eco friendly and sustainable. I would have loved to try other dishes but Chiang Mai is so vegan friendly and has so many other vegan restaurants that I didn't get a chance to visit this place again. But I would recommend this place to visit at least once.

We have pizza, sour curry, tea leaf salad. Everything right about the place. Ambiance, attitude of people and great food.
Pros: Wide creative menu, Good portion size, Superlative flavors and great atmosphere
Cons: None really, Meat sounding names for creative vegan items, Boring potato fries instead of plantain/taro/yam

This place had a laughably huge menu with too much choice, across a mixture of different cuisines. They even have an extensive pizza menu.

It’s not the cheapest place around but certainly not too steep and staff are fab.
Lastly, they give a nod to the other vegan eateries in Chiang Mai on the back of the menu, a nice touch.

Again, very difficult to choose! Matcha latte was great, pineapple passion fruit juice was incredibly sweet. I had the Philly cheese steak on recommendation, but didn't think it was great, a lot of bread and odd flavours. The cream cheese on the Crostini was great. Partner wasn't keen on his green curry rice, not as good as elsewhere. Good place for bread products, the bagel looked great!
