Delicious and very accommodating - Edit
Most times I've hit this place up, I've come in parties of 10-40 People and they seat everyone! Everything I've tried so far has been delicious and they even sell things like jerky at the counter to go. I love it here!

Delicious place to take a date - Edit
I love bringing new people to Golden Era. Whether they are new to San Francisco, new to veganism or new to me, they always fnd something they like and we always have a good time.
Read moreI've had just about everything on the menu and everything is good. Some of my favorites include the ban xeo which is kind of like a folded omelet with tofu and mushrooms in it. I don't know another place in the city that serves it.
The appetizers are amazing too like the mushu rolls. And the desserts are fantastic. My favorite is the oreo cake. You can also buy candy bars, vegan egg. And other things to go.
There's always a table open because there is lots of seating, but they are always busy. Great place for a large group.
Pros: Affordable, Good variety

Good - Edit
I had Spicy Asian Stew. It was good. The Drumsticks were were not for me and simply came with ketchup - instead of a nice dipping sauce of some kind. Service nice.

Favorite Vegan Spot in SF - Edit
The best vegan chinese food in town. Blown away by the quality, especially for their delivery. Have ordered from here many times in-person & through Door Dash. Pretty much have tried almost all of their dishes over many, many orders.
Read moreFavorites:
- **Golden Rolls (Deep fried egg rolls - yum!)
- Pot Stickers (Much better in-person. gets a little cold/hard in delivery transit)
- Crispy Sea Patty (This tastes just like fish. Ridiculous! Soy wrapped in seaweed. Who would have thought?)
- Mama's claypot (the "fish" in this is so delicious.)
- **Lemongrass Deluxe (hands down - the best. Seasoning is on-point and not over fried!)
- Crispy Cauliflower (Fried whole cauliflowers that are pretty tender!)
- Spicy Sweet Potato Curry (You'll end up drenching the curry on everything. It's that good)
Tip: Eating in is even better than ordering out from this place!
Pros: Food is Extremely Delicious, Wide Selection of Vegan Dishes
Cons: Delivery on DoorDash & Postmates is expensive, Neighborhood is not convenient

I love this place! I try to go here for lunch at least once a month. My favorite is the Lemongrass Deluxe -- I like that it is served with steamed broccoli so I don't feel so guilty about eating the fried faux chicken! My other favorites are the Spicy Thai Fried Rice and the House Rice Claypot.

go go go! - Edit
First of all, I love the restaurant itself. I’m from Aus and it’s one of the biggest all vegan restaurants I’ve been to. We sat in the booth both times and it’s just so comfortable. When I went the first time I wasn’t even in the mood for Asian food but I quickly changed my tune. It was some of the best vegan food I’ve had. I highly recommend the mushu rolls (I was obsessed) and the blueberry cheesecake (the best I’ve ever had, maybe non-vegan included!!), it’s so light and fluffy. They also do a great chowfun and Vietnamese pancake. The pho was decent but nothing on vegan pho in Sydney (Golden Lotus).

I like big buns and I cannot lie - Edit
I discovered Golden Era Vegan on GrubHub and became addicted to their giant fluffy steamed buns. Everything is delicious! I’ve tried a lot of their menu items, spring rolls, chow fun, and my favorite sweet potato curry. We had a variety of items at this spot. But we fell in love with the steamed buns! We talk about them all the time and have yet to find an east coast vegan restaurant that has anything close!

Gluten-free & Organic Options - Edit
Large, busy, relaxed vegan restaurant with a large menu of Asian meals. Not everything is organic, but the things that matter to health-conscious vegans are: tofu, berries, salad leaves etc. Gluten-free options are clearly marked and the service was good. I had GF raw vegetable rolls to start, followed by a Thai vegetable red curry (GF) with organic brown rice. Loads of veggies in it - cauliflower, cabbage, celery, squash, broccoli and all cooked al-dente, not boiled to a mush. My family enjoyed wonton, fried spring rolls, sweet and sour fried tofu, Indian spiced tofu with veg, Oreo cake etc - you can eat more cleanly or enjoy fried vegan food, the choice is yours - a really good all rounder. I also had an really delicious organic blueberry and banana smoothie. The only downside was the location in the Tenderloin district, a rather rough area at 8pm in the evening - I wouldn’t venture there alone...😄 But don’t be put off by it - we almost turned back, but glad we braved the walk.

Good Chinese - Edit
My daughter and I ate dinner here while visiting in San Francisco after reading about it here at Happy Cow. We had a very good and filling meal. They seated us quickly and took our order promptly. And the food arrived quickly. It was a little slower getting the check at the end. There was a large variety of choices on the menu. I enjoyed my broccoli dish. It's a nice place in a sort of sketchy neighborhood but a good place for dinner.

Great restaurant with a variety of Asian foods! Everything is vegan on the menu giving an abundance of choices which vegans don't usually get so that was really nice. The restaurant is really big and very nice on the inside. The dessert menu looked amazing as well but we were too full to order any because of the large dinner portions. Very affordable as well! Huge thumbs up!
