A Sweet Little Gem - Edit
A small and charming café with an incredibly friendly atmosphere and a surprisingly large selection of cakes and pastries. Choosing what to order was genuinely difficult because everything looked and sounded delicious.
Read moreWhat impressed me right away was that I was asked whether I could eat gluten. I honestly can’t remember ever being asked that before, and I really appreciated the awareness and consideration for different dietary needs.
In the end, I followed the staff member’s recommendation and chose the Lemon Poppy Seed Cake. It was absolutely delicious: fresh, moist, and with a fantastic texture. The variety of flavors on offer was also quite unique and creative, which made the whole display even more tempting.
I also ordered an iced matcha. The matcha itself seemed to be of good quality, but unfortunately it wasn’t prepared particularly well. It was quite pale and had several noticeable clumps. I had seen photos online where the matcha looked much better, so I may simply have been unlucky on this visit.
What happened next, however, really stood out to me. One of the staff members (possibly the owner) asked whether the matcha was good. When I shyly shook my head, he immediately told me that the sieve must have failed and prepared additional matcha for me without hesitation. That level of care and willingness to fix a problem is something I genuinely appreciate.
The café serves cow’s milk, but everything else is vegan, which is great to see.
Overall, the service was exceptionally warm and welcoming. Things felt a little relaxed and slightly chaotic at times, but in the most endearing way possible. The kindness and genuine hospitality more than made up for any small imperfections.
I’ll definitely be back to try more of their creative cakes and pastries.

The little raw cheesecakes were really pretty. The Hazelnut was our favourite. The pistachio was nice but could have been more flavoured. The passionfruit one tasted more like coconut and not much passionfruit.

Serving cow milk - Edit
This café is not fully vegan (anymore?), as they serve cowmilk with their coffee. They could simply use one of the great milk alternatives like from alpro for example, but they actively chose not to. This is inportant, because the place is advertised as vegan, which means cruelty free as much as possible. I go to vegan cafés and restaurants because I don't want to support this exploitation and if I knew that before, I wouldn't have come here.
Read moreThe staff is friendly, the cake is nice, but small and expensive ~4€ for a 5x5 cm piece. I usually prefer a fresh made cake with fruits for example, but everything available was premade frozen, the only fruits being sprinkles.

Wir waren ganze 3 mal hintereinander da und wenn wir länger in Köln geblieben wären, dann wären wir auch sicher noch öfter gekommen. Freuen uns schon auf das nächste Mal. Gesund und süß schlemmen in einem süßen Café. Auch der Inhaber fällt positiv auf: Er schmeißt den Laden ganz alleine und hetzt zu Stoßzeiten hinter der Theke umher, macht gleichzeitig ein Shake und Latte-Art. Und trotzdem strahlt er Ruhe und Freundlichkeit aus und hat die gesamte Kundschaft aufmerksam im Blick. Gerne wieder!

Service was very kind and helpful.
The hot chocolate was perhaps the best I've had in Cologne so far.

Small café in a quietened part of Cologne's inner city. Has a selection of vegan sweets from raw cakes to tartes. Everything felt very cute and dainty with the taste being very light and not too sweet. The outside area is a nice place to sit down and just relax for a bit.

Das Café liegt in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße und ist dennoch sehr zentral. Die Teilchen sahen alle sehr lecker aus. Ich hatte ein Schoko-Vanille-Törtchen, das hat auf jeden Fall super geschmeckt. Die Teilchen sind alle vegan, glutenfrei und ohne raffinierten Zucker. Pflanzliche Milch kostet keinen Aufpreis. Die Bedienung war zudem sehr nett!

Read moreI find it rather problematic to imply products without (common) Sugar to be healthy (gesund und süß = healthy and sweet).
Apart from that:
All tarts and cakes are really tasty, the coffee was good, as was the tea. The portions are tiny tho, so if you want to save some money (4€ for one tiny tart) maybe go somewhere else.
The atmosphere is really good, I liked how cozy (but tiny) the shop is. There are a lot of international people here since we’re in the more touristy part of town. They do have courses to learn how to make raw vegan sweets which is probably cool, but I’ve not participated in one.
All in all:
I probably won’t come here again since I don’t like spending too much money on my food and its now special enough to do so.
Pros: Tasty, Nicely decorated, Friendly staff
Cons: Expensive, Touristy, Implies it’s food to be healthy….
