Nice discovery - Edit
Happened to find this little hole in the wall on a side street on the way to the beach. A pleasant discovery. My wife and I have eaten their acai bowl and have been pleased on both occasions. Back for more tomorrow. She is very flexible and accommodating based on your food needs and preferences. Be patient though, as it's a one-woman show.

probably won't go back - Edit
Took us about 40 minutes to get our food, only one person was in front of us when we ordered. I was hesitant to eat here since the two guys who work here cat called me when I went to check out what vegan options they had on the menu. A few days later, hubby and I went so I could try their smoothie bowls. Hubby got a vegetarian waffle. The first waffle they made, they threw away because they forgot about it and it overcooked. They gave me my smoothie bowl while the second one was cooking. I told the guy that the waffle was probably done and he danced around the waffle maker but didn't check it. Eventually, they brought the waffle out and it was burnt.
Read moreHubby was upset. They use butter and eggs in the waffles, so they aren't vegan. There's only one fully vegan smoothie bowl but you can ask for them to adjust other smoothie bowls so they are vegan. The smoothie bowl was fine, not great, but I'll probably go to Buenazo at Jaco Walk to get my next smoothie bowl since there's was better. Frutas y Tablas also have a variety of smoothies that I hear are delicious, but still take a lot of time to make. The time thing is just how things are done around here. Pura vida!
Pros: freshly made
Cons: takes FOREVER to get food, two dudes running it are like a circus

Cute, delicious and affordable - Edit
This place is adorable. I came here for breakfast two mornings in a row. I had the açaí bowl twice with fruits and topped with granola and coconut flakes. My fiancé who is vegetarian had an açaí smoothie with fruits blended in and topped with granola and cinnamon and honey. There are so many vegan options to choose from and a range of toppings and fruits. My bowl was $6 and the smoothie was $5 for a really nice sized portion. You can get it to-go as well. There were two people working and our food came within 10 mins. The seating is a few round tables with stools and is all open air. Very delicious and fresh. Wish I could go eat there every morning.
