Time stands still here... - Edit
I have known "Fruchtbare Erde" for over 10 years. And unfortunately nothing seems to have happened in terms of vegan improvement for exactly that long.
Read moreThere are some labels which products are vegan but unfortunately no good ones.
With the baked goods (self-service) there are no vegan labels at all.
There are labels with ingredients, but that does not mean that you can assume that some baked goods are vegan in principle AND as it looks none of the rolls are suitable for vegans. 😯
"Fruchtbare Erde" used to have "vegan milk rolls" and "vegan raisin rolls" on the weekends. I haven't seen those for a long time now.
Meanwhile, if you're lucky, you can get a vegan chocolate crossaint (So far, I only get them on weekends at 8am, as there only seem to be 3 for the whole day).
In the whole store "Vegan" is not particularly highlighted. I have the feeling that this organic store is not particularly interested in veganism. A vegan label throughout the store like at competitor "Denns" would be helpful.
In itself, "Fruchtbare Erde" is a nice organic store where you can get the most important vegan groceries.
The staff is friendly, there is a customer toilet and a parking lot.
But I am missing "that certain something" here, where you feel well taken care of as a vegan customer.
Don't get me wrong: It is a ok organic store, but just not a special one.
Pros: Restroom
Cons: no vegan labels at baked goods (self-service)

Great Shop! - Edit
I absolutely love this shop! I go to uni in Dortmund and do basically all my food shopping here. It's location is great if you live close to the uni you can just take the H-Bahn and you'll basically end up on their doorstep. There is an amazing variety of food sold in the shop with everything for vegetarians and vegans as well as organic meat, clothes and cosmetics. For me Fruchtbare Erde is not just a shop I just love going there because the shop also has a great atmosphere. It is really clean, there are always new things you can try and the staff are really helpful and friendly. It is also actually affordable to shop there even if you are a student. I can only recommend this shop to everybody!!
