Serves meat, vegan options available. The restaurant & café Freischwimmer in Bregenz owes its name to its location, the lido in Bregenz. First get into the cool water and then choose one of the dishes from the menu. On the predominantly regional menu with international flair, you will find several vegan starters and main courses. The cappuccino is available with soy milk. Vegan guests are catered for. Relocated from Strandweg 1. NOTE: Reported December 2022 to have limited vegan options – please send updates to HappyCow. Open Tue-Sat 10:00-22:00, Sun 10:00-21:00. Closed Mon.

staff understands veganism - Edit
No guarantee in this part of Austria, the staff at the Freischwimmer understands veganism. They serve two vegan main dishes and two vegan soups as well as salads. I think the deserts are all non-vegan.

I had the falafel main dish: It was very delicious, but I wouldn’t say it was like Falafel. It was more like big chickpea dumplings on a peas mint sauce with greens and sweet potato crisps. Everything was excellent and definitely home made. A bit on the more expensive side for the small portion though.
