A vegan pub with a great view and atmosphere far away from the randstad and any big city. Nice and quiet and very chill with Dutch pub food.

Soort pub (kroeg meets lounge bar) met hele fijne sfeer en super lekkere hapjes. Heb de vegan nachos gehad en de portie was lekker groot met veel dips. Ze zijn niet zuinig en dat is altijd fijn.

Nice selection of beers and snacks for vegans to munch down on. There was a frenchie to snuggle and lounge with. I loved hanging out here, check it out when you are in the area!

This is a very, very lovely fully vegan pub in an unexpected place. Even though this is a pub focusing on bears, they have plenty of other options as soda’s and coffees. We had two low-alcholics beers which were very good. They serve quite a good amount of different snacks, and you can also get a snackplatter which is fully vegan and is to die for, so delicious. Staff is very friendly and there is overall a very nice vibe. Seems to be popular amongst locals too. Finding this outside of the Randstad in such an unexpected spot is so amazing!

Read moreThe snacks are really good! I always enjoy some Dutch 'bitterballen'. And these are just perfection: crispy shell, rich tasting ragout inside. Yum!
The nacho platter is also very very good and generous portioned. A big pile of cheesy nachos with 3 fresh toppings, sign me up!
Drinks are good, plenty to choose from. Alcoholic & non alcoholic beers, wine, kombucha, lemonades, coffee (with oat milk, needless to say).
Since my husband and I really liked the vibe, the hospitality of the owners and the place itself (sunny terrace at the waterfront; beautifully decorated cafe inside), we needed to come back the next day - if only for tasting the homemade apple pie. And that hit the sweet spot.
This place is truly a great find. The owners are very kind people, in for a chat and seem to genuinely enjoy running their vegan business.

Lovely vegan borrelplank / snack platter - Edit
Whilst staying in a holiday home nearby, it was a great find to have vegan food in this area of the Netherlands! Lucky with the weather we could sit on the terrace with beautiful views on the boats and water. The vegan snack platter or borrelplank was great and served the purpose of not having to cook for a day whilst on holiday. The kids loved it too, there were some games to play with. When we were there only 2 of the special beers were not vegan.

Wat een leuk plekje in Drenthe, aan de Drentse Hoofdvaart! Heerlijke borrelplank gegeten en lekkere drankjes op. Leuke, vriendelijke eigenaren die hard hun best doen om hier echt iets speciaals van te maken😄Hier mogen er nog wel 1000 meer van komen in Nederland!
