Very tasty! - Edit
I had heard good things about this restaurant for a while and am glad that my experience lived up to it. My friend and I shared 5 of the savory vegan empanadas and 2 dessert ones. We mutually agreed that the plantain cheese was a favorite savory one and apple pie was a favorite dessert one. Eggplant was our mutual least favorite, but it wasn’t bad by any means.
Read moreMy only complaint was that orders took a pretty long time. We had one order there, and then I ordered some to go. Both times took probably at least 20 minutes.
Also, I was wondering about the garlic sauce they gave since it seemed suspiciously creamy so possibly not vegan. My friend had been there before and said it is, but I wasn’t convinced. The only worker we saw did not seem to speak very much English and struggled to answer questions about other aspects of the order, so I didn’t ask about it when the food arrived at the table. I now see in a prior review that I’m not the only person wondering if it’s vegan.
Also, it would be nice if they had a discount for buying like 3-4 empanadas. We were told the only discount is 6 for $23 (which is a dollar off since each is $4).

Good food, service ok, careful about your order! - Edit
I’ve enjoyed this for a treat sometimes and I appreciate having dedicated vegan empanadas and pupusas! But service typically has been all over the place. Sometimes I’m not listened to and have to repeat or remind. Last time, they gave me aioli with my empanadas without telling me and I’m certain it wasn’t vegan. Haven’t tried any entrees yet but plan to next.

The empanadas were outstanding! So delicious. I had plantain with vegan cheese, and mixed vege. And an apple pie to go for later. ❤️ Also had the passion fruit juice which was tasty!

I’ve had the three types of vegan empanadas as well as the vegan pupusa and they were all super tasty. My non-vegan friends didn’t even notice it wasn’t vegan. The owner was also really nice and the atmosphere inside the cafe is welcoming.
