Delightful Mediterranean Cuisine

Four Season Mediterranean Cuisine, formerly Headquarters has been an iconic Mediterranean restaurant in the New Brunswick and North Brunswick area for many years. There a lot of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern restaurants in the area and this one has always been at or near the top. Recently, the name and ownership changed. Thankfully, the recipes stayed the same!

The owner and servers are very hospitable and friendly. The dining area is modest, but comfortable and the food is excellent. Everything is prepared fresh to order. There is a very large selection of vegan dishes on the menu.

It is difficult to pick favorites in a place with so many wonderful flavors and options. However, their baba ghanouj is the best I ever had. It is perfectly prepared with a very smoky delicious flavor. The hummus, tabouleh, spinach pies, and vegetarian grape leaves are splendid. Their falafel is not hands down the best falafel ever, but is excellent. It is crispy on the outside, not greasy and packed with flavor. My favorite specialty entrees are the majadra and vegetarian kibbeh. Majadra is a spiced lentils and rice dish and the vegetarian kibbeh is a combination of potatoes, spinach, other vegetables and spices. There are several other good vegan choices on the menu as well. They have baklava and other desserts that do not contain dairy or eggs, but do contain honey. The only downside to the food is that the pita bread contains artificial preservatives.

I have been frequenting this establishment for many years and highly recommend it to both vegans and omnivores alike.

Pros: Fresh and flavorful vegan food, Great hospitality

Cons: Pita bread has preservatives
