Great Find! - Edit
It's hard enough to find a vegan restaurant anywhere, but we lucked out in Sarasota when we found Fork My Life. First, it was all vegan which was perfect. The menu was extensive and offered many different varieties. Our meal was top rate and the next time we are down there we will definitely go there again. On top of that, the owner was so personable and friendly which made the whole experience perfect! I highly recommend this place for great food and great service!

My husband was a meatloaf connoisseur and he raved about the vegan meatloaf. It was so good. There was also a delicious vegetable casserole side dish. So many options and all vegan! My chicken parm sandwich was also very good and the fries were some of the best I’ve ever had. 😀

My new favorite restaurant! - Edit
I adore this place. My husband and I are 6 weeks into the WFPB lifestyle. It was a joy for the owner to understand our needs instantly. My jackfruit BBQ was perfect as were my veggies. In fact, the only problem was I ate too much! Our son and his girlfriend (not WFPB but meat eaters) had impossible burgers and thought they were as good as any real burger they had had. My husband ate from the cooked food bar and raved, especially about his collard greens.

Great Vegan Comfort Food - Edit
Excellent food and nice owners. We only recently heard about this place and couldn’t wait to try it. We were not disappointed! All the food was delicious and we topped off our meal with a vegan mylkshake. What a treat! We’ll be back for more. As relatively new vegans it’s fun to find places like this to enjoy healthier and vegan versions of the foods we used to have.

Great all vegan place - Edit
I only wish the place was busier! We loved coming here on vacation. We enjoyed everything we tried. The burger was delicious along with the fries, slaw, and Mac n cheese. I thought it was well priced for $15 with a burger, fries, and slaw. Other places we’ve been too have charged more with less included so I was happy. I also got a chocolate chip cookie when we left and they donate half the proceeds of the chocolate chip cookies to help hunger. Amazing! They do use disposable boxes, silverware, and cups. This was a downside for me as someone who is conscious of my waste but I understand. I was really hoping to try the pineapple upside down cake but sadly they were out. I would go back but they are closed Sunday and Monday and we go home Monday. They were friendly, had so many choices, and were knowledgeable of their ingredients.

I had an excellent beyond beef burger, prepared to order (I’m a bit fussy), good roll too. This was a soft opening, expansion plans sounds great, but this was plenty good enough.

Terrific selection of foods ranging from salads, soups and sandwiches to desserts. All vegan! Owners are the cooks and also the servers, therefore, you can ask any questions about the food prep and ingredients, and get knowledgeable/accurate answers.

Love the idea of this restaurant and the food was decent. Good variety with vegan desserts and everything. The space is clean and inviting.
Read moreThe details need some work. The single menu they had for us to look at was dirty with spots of food. The plates were weirdly tiny and didn’t allow for spillage. The people were nice but there seemed to be some kind of loud family dispute in the back, which was uncomfortable.
Also, our bill was super expensive. One hot dog, one pulled jackfruit sandwich, and two chick’n parm sandwiches—no drinks, no desserts, and the sandwiches don’t come with any side items—was $48. Oof. I get that quality ingredients are expensive, but this felt like a lot for what we got.
The food came out one at a time, with one sandwich lagging long behind the others, and all were lukewarm.
I hate to be negative and I think with a little work this place could really shine and be something special. We’ll go back and try again and see how they improve.

Very disappointed - Edit
I was very hopeful when I saw that this place was fully vegan. I was very disappointed after eating there. Food sounded good but was poorly done. The charizo bites were actually one large bite and everything on the inside was stone cold. The grilled cheese was just melted Daya inside warm bread. I ordered the loaded nachos but had to send them back because they forgot toppings. In the end, the nachos could have come from a 7-11 except for the fact that they were vegan. The tables and chairs were very cheap and they served all food in to-go containers instead of plates with actual forks or knives. Very disappointing to see a vegan place contribute to the landfill in such a way. Also, my wife got the chicken parm sandwich that was very overpriced for a Boca chicken patty covered in Ragu and on a bun.

A few things: Food was not great. Chorizo bites is just one bite and it was as cold as ice in the middle. The grilled cheese wasn’t even grilled. It was just hot bread with melted vegan cheese. The chick’n parm sandwich is way over-priced for what it was, which was a cheap vegan chick’n patty with some sauce slapped on and lettuce underneath. The utensils and the takeaway containers were compostable, but they had nowhere to compost them. They were just throwing everything in the trash. The tables and chairs were very cheap and rinky [censored]. The customer service was lackluster, and we then had to be refunded for several items that they didn’t have on hand even though it was lunch time on Saturday! We will never go back. Oh, and it was $86 for lunch for FOUR. Ridiculous.

Best cooked vegan comfort food in the Sarasota area. Everything is cooked perfectly and tastes great. These are seasoned veterans in the kitchen that know taste. It warrants a five star rating for having one of the best entrees and sides I’ve ever had in a vegan only restaurant.
