Tasty Bowls and Mac & Cheese - Edit
Flora Vegan Cafe shines with its mac and cheese and hearty bowls — really satisfying! The bagels, though, are more like thick bread and didn’t quite hit the mark.

Delicious, thoughtful and fun vegan food - Edit
I had the french toast and it was so delicious I especially loved the passion fruit sauce on it. It was a surprising and tasty addition. I also had the dragon fruit smoothie which I am still thinking about.

The most delicious vegan food - Edit
I’ve been staying at the hotel next to this place and have eaten every meal at Flora for the past three days. Every item on the menu tastes amazing. I’ve been vegan for 12 years, and it’s very hard to find places like this.

Great vegan restaurant with lots of delicious options. We discovered it our first night in Tamarindo and ended up going back.

We just went for coffee, we asked for latte we were not asked if hot or cold and we got served cold coffee. We ordered a Cheesecake that took 10 minutes to arrive and was frozen and did not taste amazing and it is $11. Not worth your money. Also for a business to call themselves a “Cafe” having two lousy dessert options, not really a good Cafe. The chair I sat down in was full of dust. The waitress did not speak much english nor spanish, this place needs to make improvements or it might not survive the competition around, which is unfortunate because I want to support local vegan places.

I was super happy to see a vegan place within walking distance. Had the chorizo sandwich which is actually a Beyond Italian Sausage, the veggies and bread was very fresh. Also tried the mac n cheez, it was decent. Service was excellent.

We are staying in Tamarindo for a week and have eaten at Flora Vegan Cafe twice. The food is excellent. The salads are fresh. The bowls are delicious. The Chori Pan was delicious as well. We also enjoyed their smoothies. The staff is friendly. It is located right across from the ocean, so easy access from the main road.

Located across the street from the beach, this plant based Cafe has a lot of options for drinks and some snacks. We had a cold brew with milk (they seem to only serve oat) and it was quick to order and tasty.

All very nice. I would suggest the tico breakfast above all as it seemed among the healthiest, and most unique-to-the-region of all the options. Corn tortilla > flour tortilla (the imposter) in my opinion!
You can try their lovely spicy homemade hot sauce with your food.

This place is adorable- you can see the beach and there is shade and fans to escape the heat then walk across the street to the beach! I had the flora smoothie and the power salad and they were perfect light beach food. Might even come back during this trip.

This place is beyond adorable, but more than that - you can taste the care put into the food. Everything was freshly made and served with a smile. We went for breakfast our last day in Tamarindo and wish we had gone sooner! Ordered lattes, French toast, and tico tacos. Also got salads and cookies to-go: they were perfect for a long travel day.

We were excited to find that there was an all vegan restaurant just a couple of blocks from our hotel and had to try it out. We started with smoothies and they were all delicious! Next we got the tofu nuggets for the kids, the yucca croquettes (so crispy, fluffy and good!!), the cauliflower tacos, and the curry bowl. We all really enjoyed our meal and came back the next day for more. So grateful to find a vegan place in Tamarindo!

We had some of the best vegan food in Costa Rica here. It was so good we came 3 times over 2 days. I highly recommend the churros, breakfast burrito and cauliflower tacos!
