Bakery
Bakery selling a wide variety of breads and states clearly which products contain no egg or dairy. Vegan ones are marked with a red label. Find white and wheat sliced bread and buns with fruit paste, dried fruit, or tea leaves. From Sakai station, exit from the north gate and turn left, walk for 3 minutes, and it's on the right side. Open Mon 10:00am-7:00pm, Wed-Sun 10:00am-7:00pm. Closed Tue.

Rare vegan options in this part of town! - Edit
Aside from Umeboshi rice ball available at 7 eleven, or vegan burger at Doutor coffee shop, these bread may be your primary vegan option in the neighborhood.
Read moreYou can identify the animal-free products by the labels with pink borders, along with other information such as product description and price.
The catch here is that there are also red labels, which look almost identical to the pink ones but represent omnivorous products. My simple advice: check with the staff which ones are vegan!
I gave them only 4 stars because they are not a dedicated vegan bakery. Their products may not satisfy your cravings for an alternative to buttery croissants but should make you feel happy with their tender, home-made taste.

Pros: most likely the only vegan bakery in the area
Cons: limited choices and amount
