Ffing delicious - Edit
The buffalo artichoke was fantastic - inventive and tasty. The tofish and chips hit all the right notes as did the alcohol free beer selection. The onion pie and accompanying veggies were a bit plain (but that might just be the dish). The desert was only ok. Overall a strong meal for a decent price (these days). We would have given it 4.5 stars if we could.

Wales' First Vegan Hotel; Restaurant Open to Non-guests. 🏴 - Edit
Opened in May 2026, Ffarm Hall is the sister venue of Beck Hall in the Yorkshire Dales. The hotel has 13 en-suite rooms, and the restaurant is open daily for guests and non-guests. This includes breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, the bar, and roast lunch on Sundays. The hotel itself is nestled in the countryside and has a generous car park.
Read moreI visited for afternoon tea and items from the lunch menu. The lunch menu consists of small plates, mains, sides, sandwiches, bowls, and desserts. The afternoon tea consisted of sandwiches, sausage rolls, scones, cakes, brownies, and tarts. Everything was so beautifully presented, and even the dishware and cutlery were tasteful. From the small plates, I tried the Buffalo Artichoke Wings and the Loaded Black Bean Boat. The wings had an incredible texture, and the coating was lovely and crunchy. The black bean boat also had the most distinct black beans I've ever had and was seriously amazingly prepared, and the crispy potato on the dish was unreal. The sausage roll on the afternoon tea was absolutely delicious, and the finger sandwiches were each distinct and tasty.
The menu has a mix of simple and distinctive dishes, both unprocessed and processed, innovative dishes, and pub classics. In addition to the menu, the restaurant and hotel are decorated in keeping with Ffarm Hall's boutique status and feature charming touches such as hand-painted critters. Ffarm Hall is an obvious must-visit for vegans based in or visiting North Wales, and I'm already planning my return visit for a Sunday lunch! 🌱

A brilliant vegan hotel in north Wales - Edit
Having visited Ffarm's "big sister", Beck Hall in Malham, many times we were keen to experience Ffarm Hall. We had 2 nights here to celebrate my wife's birthday and we weren't disappointed. The refurbishment has been carried out to a high standard with a lovely eye for detail - the hand-painted motifs are a delight - and the building is imposing. The menu is different from Beck Hall, which is a bonus, and we were spoilt for choice. There's plenty for non-vegans to enjoy and nobody will go hungry as the portions are very generous. The Welsh Onion Pie Cake was a real standout and very filling. The desserts were superb - special mentions for the Silken Chocolate Delice and the awesome Vanilla Cake. Eria and Tim and their team of young staff were superb - very welcoming, friendly and polite. As it's not in a tourist hotspot like Malham it has a different vibe and you should perhaps plan to get out and about during the day but it's not far from Snowdonia, Anglesey or the coast. We hope to be making a return visit before too long!

Some of the best vegan food we’ve ever had. We went for all of the small plates and they did not disappoint! Great to sample so many tasty dishes. The decor is really lovely too - newly renovated and beautifully styled. The staff were so friendly and service was impeccable.

I cannot fault the fabulous Ffarm Hall. It's a fully vegan restaurant with a good range of dishes. The portion sizes are very generous too. Friendly staff and excellent service.

We were the first guests for afternoon tea and it was amazing! 😍 So delicious and fairly priced. The staff were attentive and friendly and the hotel and restaurant is of course dog friendly. This is the first vegan hotel in Wales!!!!

Read moreWe did not stay here as we had our young son with us, so only booked in for a late lunch.
Im only giving 4 starts because there were some things that you could tell they were still working towards, whilst trying to find their feet as a new establishment.
The Bahji dish in the starters sort of didnt make sense flavour wise.
However the tofu starter (YUM) and the pasta dish (holy-moly), could not fault one bit.
The service was a little slow and the staff were beginning to get a little flustered as it was late on a Saturday afternoon, several afternoon-tea dinners had come in, and half of the staff were on their break. The waitress was extremely apologetic that our dessert took nearly 30 minutes to come out, as there was only chef in the kitchen at that time.
Hopefully this is something they are able to overcome with time, and it certainly does not hinder my desire to return in the future.
My only advice for Beck-Hall lovers is to NOT compare the two establishments. The menus are different & unique, and felt like two completely different experiences. But please do make the trip here, whether overnighting or passing through!
Bonus positive is that the establishment is in its own grounds so there is plenty of available parking onsite (if staying or passing through), and its generally quite accessible.

We had an amazing Sunday roast and dessert at ffarm hall. The staff were so lovely and attentive. The atmosphere was perfect and the decor is beautiful. I haven’t had a Yorkshire pudding in years so that was a special treat. The apple crumble cake may be my favourite thing I have ever eaten. We will be back very soon!

This dog-friendly vegan hotel was not quite what we had hoped for after reading the reviews. Perhaps we were unlucky to be there at the wrong time, but at one point there were four smelly dogs barking at each other in the restaurant - always at least one. Clearly we had not understood exactly what dog-friendly would mean - our mistake!

I am disappointed that I can't give a better review, and hope that these are just teething problems in a new business. I have given more direct feedback to Ffarm Hall.

The friendly, helpful and attentive staff were fantastic. The location is perfect- there’s so much to see and do in north wales. Ffarm Hall is just as good as Beck Hall, actually, in my opinion it’s better because of the spacious room. The food is just as good as Beck Hall, with some local traditional dishes converted to plant based like Welsh Rare Bit etc. Oh the breakfast is lovely here too, you’ll have not seen hash browns as big before. If you stay here be sure to go to Pip & Oat in Llandudno, they’re the best plant based cafe in north Wales and they do runny egg and soldiers as well as many other fabulous dishes.

Beautiful boutique hotel in a peaceful north wales village. The large room was in the upper floor and it had lovely high vaulted ceilings. We had a 2 night dinner bed and breakfast package. The afternoon tea and breakfasts are outstanding, and the same goes for the lovely staff. Would recommend to any vegan traveller. They’re also dog friendly

Spent a weekend here not long after opening. Such a luxury not having to worry if things are vegan or not! The breakfast had plenty of choice (the hash browns deserve a special mention). Dinner was equally delicious. Loved the oatly and booja booja in the room! The decor throughout is gorgeous and the staff are wonderfully friendly. Planning a return visit!

Myself, my partner and our 2 dogs have just came home from an incredible stay at FFarm hall, no expense was spared when designing this beautiful hotel and you can tell, there’s so much thought behind everything! We really loved the gorgeous paintings throughout the hotel by Jenny Challanger.

Make sure to book your dinner ahead of your stay as they get really busy!! Highly recommend the tofish and chips, juicy marbles steak, the blackbean boat starter & the tuna wrap - but you really can’t go wrong with whatever you order.
If you’re looking for things to do nearby, we visited Llandudno beach which was a 20/25 minute drive from the hotel. There’s even a vegan cafe nearby too called pip & oat!
10/10 stay we’ll definitely be back 🤗

Great Vegan Hotel & Restaurant in Wales - Edit
We stayed here recently for one night and much like Beck Hall it is a must try experience.
Read moreWe booked the smallest room available and it was extremely comfortable. The size of room was great with plenty of space for storage and areas to sit down in. The shower was also a nice size. The artwork painted across the walls of different animals made the room feel extremely homely. The only criticism would be the very thick duvet at this time of year seemed to be a bit overkill - made it extremely warm at night.
The restaurant was lovely with some amazing options available. The Welsh onion cake pie was extremely tasty and so was the blackbean bowl. The tofu popcorn pieces with the tartare sauce were a delight. Breakfast was also great and worth getting out of bed early for! The staff were extremely friendly and made sure we had a great time.
