Never open. - Edit
Stayed in La Spezia so luckily never made a special trip to this place as all 4 times we swung by it was closed, even at times the website and times on the door said it would be open.

Awful - Edit
We arrived at about 6:45 which I know can be seen as early for Italians but when we went in someone had to come in and even turn the lights on for us!!
Read moreThe menu is in a weird cardboard book and it is all hand written and looked very scrappy.
I ordered the zucchini noodles with pesto and mum got the basmati rice with sauce. The raw noodles tasted like soap and mum's rice was completely tasteless and the 'sauce' was just pureed tomatoes.
There'd be hardly any calories in either of our portions and would probably need 3 lots to sustain calorie needs but each meal is about 7 or 8 euros. Very expensive for the rubbish quality and small servings!
I'm not a raw vegan or even a healthy vegan, I'm a 'just vegan' if you will but this restaurant put me off eating raw or healthily so much if it all tastes so horrible!
Maybe we should have ordered something else but how would we know what was good and what wasn't?
We had a few bites of food and couldn't eat any more, so we went to a regular restaurant and got a bowl of fries instead. Cooked, salty, oily, greasy goodness!
I would rate 1* if happy cow let me.
Pros: Looked nice
Cons: Horrible tasteless food & overpriced, Not very prepared or friendly staff, Handwritten menus with bad hand writing

irregular hours - Edit
Was staying in Portovenere and came in for some fresh vegan food. They advertise being open from 6pm-11pm but when I got there they were completely closed. Waste of a trip into town.

Precious Gem in La Spezia Re-opened - Edit
AFTER BEING CLOSED FOR 3 WEEKS (DUE TO MAINTENANCE) THIS AMAZING VEGAN HUB IS BACK OPEN FOR BUSINESS!! Our family of four had dinner here on Saturday night. We were the only ones there all night to our surprise. We loved our meals, the atmosphere, decor and the kind, attentive customer service. First we were given complementary toast with homemade dips. We especially liked the hummus. We then enjoyed the raw beetroot ravioli, cous cous, raw lasagne and traditional creamy bean soup. The food was as delicious as it was beautiful. I watched my carnivorous family rave about the raw dishes to my great surpise and delight. Desserts, teas, drip coffee and wide variety of organic wines were also great.

Best Restaurant in La Spezia! - Edit
Best Restaurant in La Spezia! You don't need and won't want to eat anywhere else! My wife and I came here on our honeymoon and it was one of the highlights of our La Spezia leg. It is hard to portray the feeling of eating here - you are welcomed and served like a member of an extended family. The owner is so involved and knowledgeable about the dishes, she can answer many questions about them. We sampled some of the owners family's olive oil - fantastic! We were delighted to try the delicious local hearty bean soup (It's the reason to travel isn't it? Try the local foods). Some of the dishes are Italian based, some of them modern fusion, but all are suited to the menu. The staff are only too happy to help, we were able to talk to them in both English and French, and got lots of tips of where to go in La Spezia and Italy. I often find myself day dreaming of eating here again...

Wonderful place, welcoming and peaceful. Great food. Hipster salad is a creation! Amazing pesto "pasta" and Zukiny flan. Don't miss the lemon avocado tart for desert. Vegan pioneer in La Spezia.

Incredible Dinner - Edit
This restaurant has, by far, the most incredible food I've had in all of Europe. The staff was so incredibly friendly and kind and the food was creative and delicious. I am so glad I stumbled upon this small restaurant because it was so amazing I went two nights in a row. I would HIGHLY recommend for anyone (even non-vegans/vegetarians) to eat here. Thank you for an incredible dining experience.

A good evening - Edit
After a long day my girlfriend and I ended up at Equilibrio and felt immediately at home. We tried the juices, the zucchini's spaghetti, the beer and everything was really tasty. The owner is super nice, she even offered us some raw eggplant lasagne and it was excellent!

excellent, newly opened restaurant in La Spezia city centre, offering delicious, healthy and creative vegan cuisine. keep an eye on the daily specials. we were pleasantly surprised by the green peas - coriander creme as well as any other dish we tried down to the memorable vegetable coal sponge cake accompanied by a foamy citrus sauce and matcha topping. look forward to visiting Equilibrio again!

Delicious, interesting food, beautifully presented - Edit
My husband and I found Equilibrio through the Happy Cow app when we were in Las Spezia,on our way back to Pisa from Cinque Terre in Italy. We found the place beautifully designed and spotless, the staff friendly and helpful, and - most important - the food interesting, delicious, and beautifully presented.

I heartily recommend this restaurant for anyone passing through northern Tuscanny, and wish its owners and operators much success.
Pros: Excellent food, Lovely decor, Friendly staff
Cons: I'd prefer a bit more traditional cooked
