Outstanding options!

Best vegan ‘option’ ever - four dollar soft tacos with two vegan filling options asada or adobada (only one available today, try the other next time).

Friendly funky place in Brawley, counter service, cc machine didn’t even ask for a tip so bring cash!

Pros: Tacos gluten free, Adobada vegan gluten free, Good price and friendly

Cons: Only one choice of vegan filling available today, Can’t give five stars for vegan options or I would

Quality taqueria flavor & vegan option

At this restaurant, you order single items rather than a plate but each item is a good size and amount. As another commenter mentioned, the rice is not vegan, but the beans are. There is also a huge toppings bar with different kinds of salsa, carrots, onion, you name it. It reminded me of eating at taquerias in my pre-vegan days. However, these toppings were just a compliment to the yummy Carne Asada Tacos and Bean Sope that I ordered. The "meat" used in the tacos looked so real I had to ask if it was vegan! They use a soy protein, so it is a little softer than actual meat but marinated and charred up that it resembles actual carne asada. I also really liked the bean sope which was well-loaded with beans and a yummy side sauce. The some was fried but not overly greasy, and a good thickness. I will happily go again!
The only improvement I would say is to veganize the rice (it's so easy to do) and label the house-made Aguas frescas so I don't have to ask what each one is. I didn't want to grab a non-vegan drink!

Solid vegan options

Asada and adobada vegan meat options. The rice and beans are vegan. And an amazing, HUGE condiment and salsa bar. The meat was so incredibly flavorful and juicy! Fun lil authentic, yet hipster-vibe taco joint. Stellar.

Couple of vegan options

Vegan labeled items on the menu were vegan asada or vegan adobada tacos or burritos - but when I visited there were no vegan adobada. We checked and we’re told that the rice was cooked with chicken broth (and is automatically added to the taco order unless you ask otherwise).

The vegan asadas was pretty good - and plenty of hot sauce options.

Pros: Couple of vegan options, Friendly staff, Lots of hot sauce options

Cons: Rice not vegan , No vegan adobada when I visited

Vegan Mexican in Brawley

We got a tasty vegan carne asada burrito, homemade rolled tacos with chewy, moist vegan meat that came with homemade refried beans and rice. We paired it with crinkle-cut taco shop fries and a giant fresh mango juice. Accompanied by fresh cucumbers, radish, spicy carrots, pickled onions, lemons, and three tasty kinds of salsa. Awesome friendly curbside service. Just off the main drag.

Pros: Lots of options, Homemade , Tasty
