Rude aggressive owner
Very negative experience with the owner. I arrived at the restaurant at 12:20. The advertised opening time was 12:00, and the owner arrived at the same time as me. A waitress who was already present told me it would take about 30 minutes before they could serve food.
I left briefly to look at other options nearby and returned about 10 minutes later, assuming I could wait for the opening. When I entered, the owner started raising his voice and demanded that I leave, shouting that the place was closed and private property, despite it functioning as a public establishment with the door open and the opening time clearly displayed.
I am on the autism spectrum and do not handle aggressive behavior from strangers well. I asked not to raise his voice, but this only escalated the situation further. When I requested the official complaints book, it was not provided at that moment. Instead, the owner used physical force (against an autistic person) to push me outside.
Both he and me called the Police, who attended. The police explained that the owner is required by law to provide the complaints book by the customer’s request, which apparently came as a surprise for him. Nevertheless, the complaints book still could not be produced, despite me and 3 police agents waiting for about an hour.
In the end, the police advised me to visit the local Consumer Protection Bureau and file a complaint. I also attempted to contact the owner directly via Instagram in an effort to de-escalate the situation; however, after receiving no response, I proceeded with the complaint.
This was very disappointing, especially as I was genuinely excited to support a vegetarian place in Los Llanos. Other reviews describe the owner as friendly, so I sincerely hope this was an isolated incident. Unfortunately, my own experience in this place was extremely unpleasant and hostile, and I would not feel comfortable recommending it.
Pros: One of few vegetarian places on the island
Cons: Rude aggressive owner, Use of physical force against minority groups, Lack of understanding of public obligations

You would not leave El Espejo . The door was closed and the sign said Cerrado.
You started shouting and swearing on.my terrace and you forced my door open

The police told to leave and kerp away from me So now you resort to this
You continue to write lies and cause me problems And you have someone messaging me and insulting me.
Keep away from El Espejo and me.

Dear Iain Montgomery,
I am not going to engage in insults or accusations. I am simply clarifying my position.
I requested the official complaints book because it is a legal right of any customer, regardless of whether the establishment considers itself open at that moment. That request was the reason I “did not want to leave your place,” as you stated.
As I mentioned several times, I am on the autism spectrum. The use of physical force against a person with a mental disability - and, more generally, against anyone who is physically smaller or weaker - is unacceptable. This is precisely the kind of behavior that should be brought to the attention of future customers. That is the purpose of reviews on public platforms: to share personal experiences with the community. If such feedback is unwelcome, the solution is to avoid engaging in physical force toward others.
Finally, I would strongly encourage you to reconsider the way you communicate with people who enter your establishment. I understand that you may have been tired or dealing with personal reasons for opening late. However, there are many ways to communicate such situations calmly and respectfully. Shouting at customers only contributes to a hostile and toxic environment and as you stated yourself "creates problems" for yourself and for others.

Keep away from me and my restaurant, the guardia civil have told you and I will tell you again. You're not welcome in El Espejo.

Utter chaos - Edit
Incapable of communicating. The menu is a lie, we were only offered three options. They did not distinguish between vegetarian and vegan and could not confirm allergens.

The communication was clear. You were told of our gluten free options and shown the Pizzara and told the food available after a busy day. You choose to leave without eating. Our menu is not a lie, we simply sold out of some dishes.
