We ordered Enchiladas without cream and cheese but they still put cheese inside.

The vegan Tacos, order vegetarian but without cream and cheese, were very good (Tortilla topped with bean-cream, Salad, various vegetables and Avocado).
All in all a place where you can go if you want vegan Tacos.

Easy and cheap - Edit
Not much choice for vegan or vegetarian food I'm palenque but there are quite a few veg options on the menu here just need to ask for no cheese (sin queso). You can get tacos, tortas etc with avo, refried beans, salad, cheap and tasty. Nice staff.

Best place for vegans in Palenque - Edit
I really loved the food, they have a huge vegetarian selection and almost all of the dishes can be made vegan (tell them what you don't want, rather than that you're vegan)
Read moreThe prices are also extremely fair, especially concidering it is pretty much in the very center of Palenque.
Pros: Lots of vegetarian/vegan options, cheap, location,
Cons: Not fully vegetarian/vegan

Cheap and decent - Edit
Very cheap place, they have plenty of vegetarian options that can be made vegan. Staff can’t speak english but have a vegan passport and show what you can’t eat and they will do it.

Good vegan options - Edit
Delicious vegan options, nice restaurant and very friendly staff. Price very cheap. Does not look like a typical tourist eatery, rather one where the locals eat. I went once for breakfast and once for dinner and it was delicious both times.

Authentic Mexican food - Edit
Caracol de Jade is a “restaurant” on the main place of Palenque with quite a lot of vegetarian choices. The vegetarian dishes can be made vegan, they will prepare it without the cheese and cream. I had a burrito, it was good but nothing special. It is not a touristy restaurant or a place where you stay much longer than you need to eat the food. It is honest Mexican food in a rustic setting.

Very good - Edit
Nice staff, quick service and many vegetarian options that can easily be made vegan. Cheap, quick service, nice spot facing the main plaza. Recommended. P.S. update: please be aware that the vegetable soup is made with chicken broth, even though it is in the vegetarian section

cheap food, nice spot on square - Edit
The food was cheap and quick and tasty. Trifecta. The place is right on the square with a few other local quick spots. It's not fancy, but it is sure as hell local and authentic and that's what makes it great. It's hard for us to get places like this.

Decent cheap food but horrible service - Edit
The food and juices at this place are reasonably good and cheap. Unfortunately, the service is literally atrocious. I don't say that lightly and I don't expect much from a casual place like this, but the waitress actually made us feel very uncomfortable with the way she treated us. She avoided eye contact at all costs and spoke to us very rudely. She appeared to be treating everyone else there the same way. Both times we went she forgot aspects of the order, once being that I very clearly asked for something without cheese (I speak Spanish quite well). So unfortunately I cannot recommend this place. Glad to find something! - Edit
We were glad to find a place in Palenque with a vegetarian section on the menu. I actually overlopers it first
Read moresince I wasnt expertise this to be an outdoor stall. The fruit juices are huge and cheap. I thought the portions were small ar first but it turned out to be very filling. Its simple, don't have high expextations, but it's very nice to be able to easily get some vegan food in a toen like Palenque.

Simple and cheap - Edit
I had the veg salad (very basic lettuce tomato avocado) and veg tacos. Big cheap fruit juices. Much better than the lonely planet listed Cafe de Yara, labelled as veg friendly but who served me the most ridiculous vegetarian sandwich ever (2 grilled toasts with a few boiled veg and nothing more, not even a small salad).

Cons: More vegetarian friendly than vegan friendly, Bland taste

A nice find - Edit
My Spanish not being on a useful level, and knowing that Mexicans don't really "get" vegetarianism, I love a place with a veggie section on the meny. Shows that at least someone, at some point, thought something through (making Mexican fare vegetarian isn't very hard). Went twice during our short Palenque stay, and was even there a third time, but didn't have time to wait for a free table. This place serves the normal local snacks, and one can order them vegetarian without having to worry too much. Doesn't need to be more fancy than that! Delicious.

Cons: No toilet, no alcohol
