So FRESH and delicious! - Edit
I don't remember what they call the sandwich I've had here, but I've been back there to have it a second and third time. It's so delicious, reminding me of a creative egg salad sandwich but since it's entirely plant-based it has all sorts of vegetables in it. When I first bite into it, the freshness of the bread reminds me of how much care they put into making their food.

Read morei ended up ordering the philly cheesesteak. the sandwich was good, although in the future i’d keep in mind that it may be a little hard to hold with all the cheese sauce before ordering it, although that is just a philly cheesesteak.
overall, i was happy with my experience! i’d recommend coming here, and i’d be interested in trying more of the menu. #Veganuary

I didn’t stay in La Jolla, but I did an hour and a half bike ride to come here and it was worth it. I had the Philly « steak » sandwich and I loved it! So good! I took an almond croissant to go and enjoy it a bit later. Still fresh, I really like it (I haven’t had a croissant in ages, it was amazing really).

Vegan cafe in La Jolla got some things right and some wrong. Staff we’re not overly knowledgeable when asked about gluten free options. Mix of reusable (cloth napkins, plates, silverware) and single use plastic.

El Avocado is a great place to go when you’re in La Jolla! I love all of their dishes and smoothies, but I’m not a huge fan of the pastries. Definitely try it if you’re in the area!!

The chakra wrap was great value for money. Huge wrap with lots of veggies. In fact I gave 1/2 to my daughter because the breakfast sammie she ordered was so tiny. Also tried a bite of the brunch chilequiles which were delicious but according to the person who ordered them were a little soggy. Highlights included the chipotle sauce.

We split the nachos and weren’t suuuper impressed. I’ve had more flavorful nachos for cheaper, $18 is a bit steep for bland nachos. The cheese and beans are good but they skimp on the avocado. They have pastries from Split Bakery, chocolate croissant is fluffy and flakey, recommend grabbing one of those for breakfast. I‘ll come back to try some of their other menu items before writing them off. Great location though view-wise! #Veganuary

We enjoyed our wrap and grill cheese. Next time we will try a different sandwich. Their default milk is oat milk. The view from the patio is fantastic. Special outdoor may be temporary as it's located on parking spaces. Take advantage.
