Nice place to have brunch

Amazing bread, and friendly staff. Located in a nice area with a park. They also offer vegan cakes, perfect for a brunch!

Nice little find

Nice vegan cafe located on top floor of building. There is signage for it at ground level, take the lift to the 7th floor and then steps up to the 8th.

I had their full breakfast which was decent, for breakfast choices that is about your options but they do have a decent amount of choices for lunch focusing on more western dishes and then a separate page for more traditional.

I took a takeaway sandwich and apple cinnamon roll which were both great.

Worth a visit if you’re in Shanghai

Hip brunch with cozy ambiance

Very western brunch place. Staff speaks English and is super friendly. There aren't many vegan options, but vegetarians will find a range of dishes.

I loved the rye bread with avocado! Beware, it is quite pricey. However, I'd come back every now and then when I feel like I miss home.

Not a great eggsample!

We finally decided to give this place a try, yes it's cafe chic charm was on point filled with expats (or foreigners you choose, I'm a foreigner) for Instagramable moments. The menu I found confusing (see other users photo), I asked if they had a separate vegan menu, they don't! So apart from avocado on toast without feta there was only one other item and two cakes. As they charge extra for cashew milk in coffee, I wonder if they deduct money for not having feta? We split a feta free avocado on toast which was good, had cashew milk coffees also good and the two vegan cakes: Raspberry and lime, chocolate, cinnamon & chilli. The portions of cake were large but the icing whatever it was made of was just sweet and too much of it, the actual cake part was very tasty. I won't be making a trip back here especially as there are much better places with more options close by like Pure & Whole.
I gave it another try, a few more items say they can be made vegan but the day we went the vegan buckwheat pancakes weren't available, this was at 9 am, so there's not much point in listing vegan things if they're only available sometimes. My girlfriend and my assistant split the avocado on toast & the mushrooms on toast which they really enjoyed, I had the banana bread toast which was good but I really wanted the pancakes. I'm told this place has a chef who is vegan which is why one of the reasons I find this place so underwhelming for vegans, I won't bother going back.

Pros: Vegan cake, Nice looking place

Cons: Too few vegan options, Extra charge for vegan milk

Delectable vegan options including avo toast and banana bread. The cashew milk-based beverages are delicious. Charming vibe.

cute and tasty

Very nice and pretty place, very western. The food is really good, they have some vegan options, some others can be made vegan easily. The staff is really nice and friendly! It’s not the cheapest but definitely a great place to go if you crave an avocado toast in Shanghai!

Cute & Cozy

This is your standard-instagramable white wall green plant café, ideal for working there with a macbook or meeting your expat friends for lunch.

Irony besides, I enjoyed my time reading and working there. Staff is really friendly and catered to my special wishes: had a nicely bitter iced matcha latte with Oatley oat milk (+5 RMB extra) as well as an interesting black sesame latte with their homemade cashew milk (also +5 RMB extra). The price of total 75 RMB is high for two beverages, but again: it's Shanghai, and I would gladly return.
Some of their dishes are veganizable!

(Sidenote: They are super heavy on the AC! It was on 16 Degrees Celsius and I left with goosebumps.)

Pros: Great atmosphere, Vegan options, Friendly staff

Cons: Heavy on AC, Price

Good vibes.

Ironically named, this cafe has a few vegan options and a friendly and cool atmosphere. Highly recommend the coffee, one of the better coffees I’ve had in Shanghai.

Pros: Great atmosphere , A few vegan options , Great coffee made with nut or oat milk

Pricey good food

Good food with Vegan options (although no seperate vegan menu) but was expensive for what it was, especially considering the portions were quite small. Would go again if I was in the area.

Pros: Good coffee, Great setting and location

Cons: Expensive

Cozy and cute vegan friendly restaurant

I loved that the restaurant has a brunch feel. It is super cozy.
The staff is very friendly.
They have free-WiFi.
They are pet friendly. For example, if you don’t want to leave your pup at home they don’t mind if you bring them inside.
They have a few vegan options, but not a lot.
The price is average for Shanghai.
This place is nice if you’re trying to impress non-vegans as they have more non-vegan options.
My rating is based on the atmosphere and vegan food’s flavor.

Really cute vegan-friendly English-friendly place, ok food

This place has a brunchy, cafe feel, the kind of place you can sit and work on your laptop. Super English-friendly. The boards with drink and special menus are exclusively in English! Really meant for foreigners. And they offer both English and Chinese menus.

And, in spite of their putting on egg on everything, they are quite vegan friendly and a rather popular spot for local vegan foreigners. They have a vegan menu, and vegan specials like vegan french toast waffles -- they take waffles, and then they fry it like french toast!

I ordered the avocado toast and the mushroom tacos. Both were pretty good but nothing special. Also ordered the vegan pumpkin pie, which was terrible. So, the food is fine but nothing to rush out and try. Note that my rating may be harsher than some because I have very high expectations from living in NYC.
