Good food - Edit
All vegetarian food with vegan options. I had the vegan option tacos. The food was really good, the only downside was that there was cheese on the side of my taco (my partner had cheese in their taco so I think they were cooked next to each other). It was easy enough to cut off this section though.

Great food, sweet staff - Edit
I tried to check out other vegetarian restaurants/ cafés but they were always closed. So I went to Ecolé 3 days in a row and I’m actually pretty happy about that. The food is really good and many options can be made vegan. The staff was always welcoming and nice and the restaurant is cosy.

Few but tasty vegan options - Edit
Went there 3 times, they have few vegan options on the menu (main dishes: wok veggies with either whole grain rice or quinoa and homemade gnoccis), I tried all of that and it was all really tasty. Veggies were perfect, fresh and firm, not cooked too long, free appetizer is homemade whole grain bread with a salsa with tomatoes and onions (really good) and /or an avocado-cream which I think is not vegan (didn't eat it, didn't ask). I once asked for an explicitly small mixed salad with the main dish and ended up getting a huge salad. Was way too much, told me then a small salad was not possible, no flexibility there. A small soup is possible though (and tasty). Tea with fresh mint leaves is very nice too as well as their homemade lemonade.

No es lo que esperaba - Edit
pocas opciones veganas, sabores mal logrados y sobrecocinados y sin un estilo muy definido. Recomiendo buscar otras opciones si no quieren perder dinero.

Not many vegan options - Edit
If you're looking for vegan food in Pucon, I would not recommend this place, except for the soups and salads, there was maybe 2-3 vegan dishes on the menu. The gnocchi were small portion and overpriced. The burritos were ok. Better go to Mundo Elefante on the next street which has better options and similar prices.

Best in Chile so far... - Edit
I'm currently traveling in Chile and so far this has been the best restaurant I've visited. Overall, Ecole is a vegetarian's dream, and not bad at all for vegans. My meat eating partner was happy to eat here (he had the nachos, pictured, as well as the veggie lasagna), and while we were in Pucon he kept asking if we could go back and eat at Ecole again. I had the burrito without cheese. The menu seems to shift based on the availability of local products, so vegans should just ask for options (the veggie stir fry mentioned in earlier reviews for vegans was also still available). The price was also really reasonable for such a nice place. I would absolutely return, and can't recommend it highly enough!

Best option in Pucon - Edit
My wife and I went here last night. I wanted to get the tofu burger, but mentioned that we were vegan, and the waitress told us it has egg in it. I was disappointed, but really glad that they are well aware of what "vegan" means. We both ordered the burrito without cheese. We got a few pieces of bread with salsa as a free starter, and the food was incredibly tasty, and we were stuffed. It was a little on the pricey side, but not when compared to the other places to eat.

The stirfry with brown rice was very simple yet tasty and great to enjoy a nice mixed vegetable dish. I also tried the tofu burger without cheese and the soup of the day ( veggie soup). Both simple yet tasty and refreshing.loved the condiments on each table to add!
Quiet and peaceful atmosphere with nice staff.
Recommend for a refreshing healthy meal for vegans and vegetarians!

Ecole was Our Favorite Meal in Chile - Edit
We visited Chile in January 2013 and found Ecole to be the best vegan food restaurant in Chile. It was not exclusively vegan, but had many choices including fresh vegetables, beans, and whole grains. The atmosphere was a relaxing oasis set 1 block off the main drag, and the staff was very friendly and understanding of eating vegan. We met many like minded folks while eating there from all over the world, as it is part of a hostel.
