Tasty but few vegan options - Edit
The Beyond Meat Burger is very delicious 🤤. However, there are only very few alternative vegan options (but still better than in most other restaurants in St. Teresa). The atmosphere is great and the staff is very obliging. Not comfy but street food style.

Street Food Style - Edit

4 Vendors Under 1 Roof with Vegan Options - Edit
Eat Street's set up is a little like a Food Hall, with a large dining area in the centre and 4 food vendors around the sides. They have an eco-friendly approach according to their website with how they manage their waste water, compostable takeaway containers and no plastic bottles.
Read moreWe stopped here for lunch, but arrived before 12pm, so the NoMad Tex-Mex kitchen wasn't open yet. So we had ordered 2 coconut milk lattes from the Sunrise Café while we waited. The coffees were nice and hot, where getting an actual hot coffee seems to be a rare thing in Costa Rica, and they tasted great too.
Once NoMad opened at 12pm we ordered 2 Vegan Beyond Meat Burritos and a small side of Crispy Fries. A friendly lady takes your order via a tablet, and although she spoke decent English I was left a little confused about what I had ordered as she was trying to help out by turning my order into combo meals which I didn't realise you could do by looking at the menu!
Apparently the Burritos can be ordered with rice or fries, so I ordered one to come with rice and one to come with fries, but then not knowing if I also needed the side of fries as well, but I ended up just going with it as we were hungry. When the food arrived we ended up with 2 burritos with fries and a small side of fries which was definitely on the larger side for a small, so we had LOADS of fries and no side of rice. We weren't too phased however, as the burritos have rice in them anyway and the fries were tasty and really crispy.
The Burritos were large and really tasty (definitely recommend them!) but in hindsight the extra side of fries wasn't needed!
For dessert we ordered 2 of the Vegan Snicker Bars from the Sunrise Café. These were really good and a nice sweet treat!
Overall, the food was good and very filling. The ambience of the restaurant was nice, with the covered outdoor seating area in the centre. It is somewhere you could visit more than once during the day due to the 4 different vendors that offer something for breakfast through to dinner and the evening.
Pros: 4 Vendors offering a variety of options, Vegan Burrito & Vegan Snickers Bar, Nice covered outdoor seating area in the centre
Cons: Combo option not visible on the menu

NO NO NO - Edit
So dangerous. I asked for a vegan dish and the tofu was fried on shrimp oil. I started having a allergic reaction and first they tried to lie and said is not true, then accept it. The manager was so unprofessional and speaking with sarcasm and bad attitude, laughing and wow, never had such a negative experience like this. There was no solution. Make yourself a favor and don’t go!!

Good Lunch Options - Edit
Very casual atmosphere that we enjoy for lunch but it is a quick dinner option too. Yummy bowls at one location (especially the green curry noodles) and Mexican fare at another including vegan pulled pork tacos or burritos, Beyond Beef burgers, etc.

5 star dining experience! - Edit
Happy cow only allows me to give four stars because this restaurant also serves some non-vegan options. This is the most vegan and vegetarian friendly place in Santa teresa. The staff are very friendly and they took time to explain the details of the menu to me. The portions are huge and delicious. I love that they use fresh and local ingredients, and that the orders are made on the spot as you order. They have vegan desserts, Tex-Mex options and a wide selection of vegan bowls. I loved hanging out here for the people watching experience and because it’s a low pressure environment where I can just hang without feeling the need to have a food item or drinks on my table. The Wi-Fi is super fast and it’s right across from the beach.

Lots of options - Edit
We had the vegan “pulled pork” taco, quite good and cauliflower burrito, which was okay. The burrito came with a sauce that may not have been vegan. So some menu items could be labeled better. We also had an excellent vegan chocolate chip cookie.

Spacious and delicious - Edit
Along with the great service is provided a diverse array of eating and drinking options from four separate areas—a bar, bowls, tex-mex kitchen, and a breakfast stand. We’ve eaten here every day since arriving and don’t plan on changing that pattern. There are also a couple hammocks and the seating is plentiful with quality tables and silverware already out. It’s also right across from a beach entrance so you can enjoy a meal and a beverage before catching some waves. Also loved their music choices! Always a great atmosphere.

Eat Street looks amazing but the food tastes very average or below. We had the Vegan Pulled Pork and the Beyond Burger. Both were missing flavor and didn’t taste like much.

There were 4 stands in one place. Drinks, Mexican food stand, Asian food shop, and smoothie stand. Smoothie bowls were good. We also had green curry with rice noodles, which was good. It’s very popular and crowded.

Strange concept - Edit
At eat street you can order your food and drinks from four different stalls (café, tacos/ burritos/ burgers, bowls and drinks). Upon ordering you receive a number or pager so difficult to eat with big groups at the same time.

Disappointing - Edit
Based on the other reviews I had high hopes for the tofu teriyaki bowl but was really disappointed. Lacked a lot of flavor, but had overpowering pieces of celery in it, and the tofu was all breaded and fried differently. Some pieces were tough and chewy (to the point I wondered if I'd gotten chicken instead, but it wasn't) others cooked alright. Ultimately there's plenty of great vegan options throughout Santa Teresa, and this was hands down the most disappointing I tried. Maybe it was just an off day.

Lugar agradable - Edit

Pros: Bastantes opciones veganas, Lugar agradable y céntrico
