When we are really missing the experience of a big soft serve cone, with sprinkles and such, we make the trip out to Duke’s. They have something like 55 options, almost all of which can be made vegan, which is the fun part for us, to pick a flavor! I typically land on a mint Oreo, and my son on the peanut butter Oreo!
THESE VEGAN CREEMEES ARE SO YUM!!! Though of course they have the regular dairy option too. They also offer gluten free cones for the ones who have celiac or a Gl-intolerance. I never thought I'd have a chance to eat a Vermont creemee ever again being vegan, but this place has saved my life! I love that more options are becoming available to those who choose not to contribute to the harm and enslavement of animals. One thing though, I may have made a mistake by getting the waffle cone and forgot to ask if those contain eggs or milk… oops 😬. I know for sure the cup cones are vegan but if I were you I’d not make the mistake I made and ask if the waffle cones are vegan if you plan on getting one 🤣. Anyways the maple flavor was the first one I tried and it was so yum! And had more of a maple flavor than the regular creemees I used to eat 2 years ago. I will say they do give you quite a lot on the cone. I asked for an X-small and it was still a lot! This place is very generous with the amount of ice cream offered for the price. 10/10 would recommend!!! And I will be coming back to try more flavors!
Finally! Vegan creemees have come to VT and not just in fruit flavors - they have TONS of flavors, made with almond milk. It's across from the Hannaford's in Milton. It's called "Duke's" but the sign just says creemees.
