Best place in Leeuwarden - Edit
This place is so amazing! It has great handmade food developed by the owner. You can taste the love that is put into the food. The owner is also very friendly, and is willing to have a conversation with you or to tell you anything you need to know about the food. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone . It has a changing menu and everytime I get suprised by the creativity and taste of the dishes.

We had the pita pizza, the carrot cake and oreo brownie for lunch, which were all very tasty. Nice seating area when the weather is good. Also very friendly staff!

Wat een heerlijke variatie in home-made burgers! Fijn geprijsd menu van een drankje, burger en frietjes. Ik koos voor de aardappel frieten en die waren ontzettend lekker en zagen er stoer uit, geen truttige Franse frietjes dus. Kom wel op tijd want om half 8 sluit de keuken. Tot mijn verrassing stonden er een paar tafeltjes zodat we onze burgers comfortabel konden opeten. Personeel is helemaal top!

Best Vegan Burger EVER - Edit
I had the Pomodoro Burger with Sweet potato fries and it was the best vegan burger I've ever had. Fresh, full of real taste and so very cheesy. The fries were crunchy yet soft potato inside and the burger was built like the Empire State Building.

Meine Freundin und ich hatten einen Cheeseburger und Avocado Burger. Die Besitzerin hatte uns beides schnell gebracht und es war sehr lecker und Preis-Leistung war auch top. Würde jederzeit wieder hingehen, wenn ich hier bin.

All the food is self-made with passion and the staff have hearts of gold. I saw the kapsalon on the menu and thought, well, I can get a kapsalon anywhere, but I said I'd worked up an appetite so I was recommended it by who I presume is the owner, and it was absolutely spot on. It had a sort of tempeh shawarma so it wasn't your usual vegan kapsalon. She also brought out a little cup of soup to keep the wind off my tummy while I waited. I'd go again probably as soon as I arrived if I ever came back to Leeuwarden.

First and foremost should go to as it’s a fully vegan venue, which is something worthwhile to support when you have the chance. We decided to get a ‘Borreltasje’ to have some snack back at our hotel for the weekend (make sure to call a day ahead to reserve). An array of lovely vegan savoury and sweet snacks with two drinks. I imagine it’s a great place to hang out when the weather is nice and sunny!

Dagje in Leeuwarden. Dit is de enige plek volgens HappyCow die volledig vegan is. Die support ik maar al te graag. En dat was het waard. Ik had de truffel burger met gepofte zoete aardappel met guacamole. Heel lekker! Zeker aan te bevelen.

De fegane grutskens fan Ljouwert & miskien sels ek hiel Fryslân - Edit
Werd goed en vriendelijk geholpen/ontvangen. Helaas staat er niet op ieder product het welvertrouwde vegan keurmerk wat je de volledige zekerheid geeft dat iets vegan is. Dit dus bijvoorbeeld bij de lotus koekjes. Hier ga je als klant bijvoorbeeld heel even twijfelen of het product wel echt vegan is totdat je beseft dat de tent/toko 100% vegan is. En bij regen kun je helaas niet binnen zitten, want... geen zitplaatsen binnen vanwege de krappe ruimte.

A lovely little kiosk where they serve only vegan food. The odly shaped building is actually an old part of a steam ship. The owners are very nice and they seam to enjoy inventing new receipes. You can enjoy your food looking at a canal filled with monumental ships.

Read moreThey have an extensive menu which is unfortunately only possible to see if you nearly climb into the window of the person working in there. Would be great to see the menu pinned to the wall outside somewhere as well.
My kapsalon tasted great though the sweet potato fries were a little too salty for my taste.

This place was a must-visit for me when I came to Leeuwarden and it did not disappoint. I had the Dr. kapsalon and it tasted super yummy. Definitely comfort food, but not too greasy and with lots of flavour. Can recommend!

Who would believe this quirky little kiosk would serve so many delicious and inventive vegan dishes? The menu is mouthwatering. We had the kapsalon (a Dutch classic) and it was beautifully presented and yummy - see photo... just look at it! Also the "curry kip" sandwich (a British person like me would call it "coronation chicken") made with jackfruit and tasting great. Also some lovely soups and coffee. The owner was very friendly too. - The only downside is that this is not fast food, it took time. Don't order it if you're rushing for a train!

Bij Dr plant hebben ze verse Vegan gerechten en die worden bezorgd op de fiets. De medewerkers zijn erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Met deze verassend lekkere gerechten is het toch nog een feestje in deze “Corona tijd”. De heerlijke Jack fruit met zoete aardappel friet is een echte aanrader ! Er zijn diverse Vegan burgers om uit te kiezen. Wij namen de yellow cap burger en de Fire bean burger. Als toetje deelden we een Vegan appeltaart. Echt goed!

With these surprisingly tasty dishes it is still a party in this “Corona time”. The delicious Jack fruit with sweet potato fries is highly recommended! There are several Vegan burgers to choose from. We took the yellow cap burger and the Fire bean burger. For dessert we shared a Vegan apple pie. Really good!

It's amazing to finally have a totally vegan place in Leeuwarden. It's run by friendly people and they have exactly the right kind of food. Warming soups, burgers and stamppot. Everything I tried tasted great. I highly recommend the peanut soup and the Italian stamppot, even if you do not normally like stamppot. It is my favorite comfort food.
