Not the best for vegans

I went there for an Omni family birthday party. I was excited to see there is an extensive vegetarian menu but when I took a closer look there were very few options for me as a vegan and I heard they even put chicken powder is their vegetarian dishes. The mock meat has egg in it and the waitress was not very receptive to my questions/requests to avoid dairy and eggs. I played it safe and just ordered tofu with broccoli and rice. It was filling but nothing special. The waiters also got very frustrated at my boyfriend when he asked if the sauce on the table had any non vegan ingredient in it.

Pros: There are a lot of vegetarian* options , Portions are big

Cons: Not vegan friendly

Horrible. Vegans avoid

My cons should sum this up. I was treated terribly.

Cons: They don’t understand what vegan means, Stuff they lost as vegetarian might well not be, Rude staff and service.

Items on vegetarian menu cooked with CHICKEN POWDER

VEGANS AND VEGETARIANS BEWARE! Several of their vegetarian dishes are made with chicken powder. This includes, but is not limited to, veggie lo mein, several vegetable dishes, and the vegetarian soups. Also, their vegetarian protein as well as the lo mein noodles are not suitable for vegans as they are both contain eggs.

I am very disappointed in the deceit of their vegetarian menu and feel morally obligated to share this information with other vegetarians and vegans.

If you do not consume animal products and still wish to dine at this establishment, please be sure to ask your server to omit the chicken powder from your order and speak with the owners about eliminating this ingredient from their "vegetarian menu" entirely.

Pros: Vegans can sub tofu for faux meat, Vegans can sub rice noodles for lo mein egg noodle, Ask owners to remove chicken powder from veg items

Cons: Items on veg menu are cooked with chicken powder, Vegetarian "meat" option has egg in it, Lo mein noodles have egg in them

Flavors are Great -- Plenty of Vegan Options

Many of the vegetarian options are already vegan options or could be easily changed to a vegan options. Overall, the flavors are great and remind me of my childhood growing up in the San Gabriel Valley.

We ordered 4 vegan dishes: eggplant, green beans, kung pao "chicken," and a veggie/vegan version of mapo tofu (not on the vegetarian menu). Each dish had great flavors and we kept getting more white rice to soak up the awesome sauce (I see what you did there) from each dish. The mock chicken was decent texture-wise, but reminded me more of mock beef.

The staff was friendly and pretty attentive on this Saturday night.

I'd come again for a great Chinese vegan option in the Riverside area!

Pros: Great flavors, Attentive staff, Lots of vegan options

Cons: Mock chicken was ok

Love it

We went on a weeknight and was met by a friendly staff worker. We told him it was our first time there and didn't know what to order. Being vegan, he recommended a few dishes to us. I'm a big Chinese food lover and let me tell ya, the taste of the food did not disappoint!

Excellent

First time there. Went with my Mom who is very picky. Appreciated the vegetarian menu which had many choices! We had the family dinner B that comes with soup, appetizer, and entrees. She had cashew chicken and I had sizzling beef and chicken. All was hot and delicious. The faux meats were superbly seasoned. Service was friendly and efficient. Highly recommend!

Pros: Excellent faux meats, Great selection for vegans & vegetarians, Good service and food hot when served

Cons: Parking when it's crowded

Wonderful vegetarian menu with a ton of tasty choices. Some of our favorites are the lemon "chicken" and garlic eggplant. Overall it's good veggie Chinese food :)

Vegetarian Chinese Food In Riverside!

Delicious crispy lemon "chicken"! Nice sized vegetarian menu including daily lunch specials. I just wish they were more flexible with vegan substitutions and the option of rice or noodles. I'll be back!

Pros: Separate vegetarian menu, Friendly staff, Relaxing atmosphere

Cons: Upcharge to substitute vegan soup, A tad pricey

Pretty Good

We got the Kung Pao Vegetables which was decent, but not spicy at all like Kung Pao is supposed to be. We also got the veggie egg rolls and the vegetable mushu(without the egg). Both of those dishes were excellent! Service was fast for a busy restaurant at dinner time. We will be back.

Pros: Service, Options

Cons: Lacking Spice

Dragon Doesn't Roar

Riverside/Corona isn't the most vegan-friendly place around. Harsh wake-up call, especially if you're used to going to almost any city in the LA/Orange County area and finding plenty of vegan and veg-friendly options. Luckily, we saw Dragon House on our VegOut application, and decided to try it. Bottom line... if you're into the more western-style Chinese food, then you'll probably like Dragon House. We don't really go for that, so Dragon House wasn't really our cup of tea (so to speak. The food was greasy and really too saucy, but they're probably catering more to the Panda Express-Pickup Stix-Pei Wei crowd. We had a Sauteed broccoli that was good... probably the best thing we had. The Fried Brown Noodle was way too saucy and the noodles had been deep-fried, so it was very oily. The Family Style Bean Curd was supposed to be spicy, but wasn't really. The good thing is that it had plenty of vegetables to go along with the tofu. The brown rice was cooked well, though!

Pros: Has a vegetarian menu!, good portions, Has brown rice as option

Cons: They don't know if mock meats are vegan, Too oily, Too much sauce

Great Vegetarian / Vegan Cuisine

This is a great place to eat wonderful vegetarian / vegan food. Two pages in their menu dedicated to just vegetarian food. Lunch specials ( a very good deal) available also. We had lemon chicken, eggplant, a mixture of stir fried with varies types of vegi-meat. Brown rice is also offered. Portions were good, enough to share. This is the 3rd time we have eaten there. We visit Riverside on a regular basis.

In the lobby as you go in you are greated with a whole lotta of pictures from celebrities, including x pres. Clinton, and movie stars. There is a fabulous sculpture carved out of one piece of wood with horses and other figures on it. Impressive.

It is my understanding they consulted with people from Loma Linda University for their menu. This is a must visit if you love good vegetarian /vegan food.

Pros: healthy food, attentive staff, good prices
