Vegan options are clearly marked and include breakfast bowls (chia oats, granola with coconut yoghurt), a savoury vegan bowl, and avocado toast. Soy milk available for drinks (at extra charge). Open Mon-Sun 8:00am-3:30pm.

Great coffee, food, view & service! - Edit

Went for a Sunday morning breakfast/brunch. Had a soy cappuccino which delicious and arrived promptly. My coffee did arrive with a tiny teddy so feel free to ask for without. The menu has a number of labelled vegan breakfast and lunch options, unfortunately nothing in the cabinet for sweets. I ordered the chia & granola bowl, which was beautifully presented and very generous in size. There was a large portion of chia pudding, plus coconut yoghurt, berry compote, toasted slivered almonds, and crunchy granola. It was all served with seasonal fruit including sliced green apple, grapes, nectarine, a strawberry, cherries and fresh apricot. Although it was on the "light bites" section- it kept me full all day! This cafe is definitely a great option for the area and I would definitely return to try their other vegan options and enjoy another well made coffee.

Pros: Tasty, generous food & coffee, Fast service, Beautiful location by the lake

Great breakfast or brunch by the lake - Edit

I have visited Double Take Café each time I am in the area for the last few years, and it has never disappointed. The avocado toast is a firm favourite, but the menu has expanded to include more vegan breakfast options and a vegan main bowl too.

[EDIT: have since had the chia breakfast bowl, marked vegan, a generous serve piled high with fresh fruit and garnished with berry compote, nuts and seeds, and toasted coconut - absolutely delicious but it did come out with cow's milk on the side, they happily offered to swap for soy but it doesn't need any additional milk of any kind!]

Service is always friendly, and the atmosphere is bright and welcoming. A really lovely weekend brunch outing!
