Consommateurs assez réguliers du Don, brunch excellent et la plupart des repas du soir sont très bons! mais Coup de coeur pour le Donné Anma au brunch, wow. Et la trempette d'artichauts et soupe thaï en soirée ! Assez cher mais belles assiettes de qualité, on aime cette adresse 100% végane!

My partner and I stopped here after having no vegan options at the Christmas market. I really liked the large variety of dishes, there really is something for everyone. I had the soup of the day which was cauliflower sweet potato and the caesar salad. The salad dressing was so good and so was the house made bacon. I’m not really much of a salad person but I thoroughly enjoyed it. My partner ordered the pad Thai and it was good too, very fresh. To finish off we had the pudding chômeur; I have had this dish many times before and this one certainly did not disappoint. We may be back for brunch today, we’ll see.

My omnivorous group didn't find the menu to be that innovative and I disliked that it was a lot of the same dishes that you see at other vegan restaurants. The food was good but most of the dishes were missing something (flat wet red sauce, cream sauce without a little tang, etc) The meat balls were really well done considering they were using impossible ground meat. Tender without an overwhelming flavor. The service was very nice and the setting was good as well. It's been a while since I've had service with multiple utensils for each course without the vibe feeling stuffy.

All food we ordered was wonderful! From pasta bolognese to the lentil bowl and blackberry crisp. Prices were very fair and the service perfect. Well worth the downhill walk on snowy streets from the Chateau Frontenac!

De casualidad me topé con este restaurante visitando Québec. Una pizarra me anunciaba un menú del día en francés al que de primeras, no presté atención por estar de paso en esa zona. Sin embargo, más tarde, volví para ver lo que allí se cocía.
Read moreYo estaba más que convencido de entrar por lo que que se anunciaba fuera, mi sorpresa fue al pasar y encontrarme en un ambiente cálido que pesar de su decoración ecléctica contrastaba con un personal de sala encantador. Al leer la extensa carta, pude comprobar de que estábamos ante un sitio que quería sentar las bases gastronómicas de Québec, un lugar donde los veganos tener un hueco: diez entrantes, quince platos principales además de postres, vinos internacionales, cócteles y bebida de casi cualquier tipo. Hice mío el menú con una sopa de legumbres por entrante y un salteado de verduras con arroz basmati y tofú como plato principal: ambos muy deliciosos y cuidados en cuanto a presentación y ejecución. Pude probar un poco del risotto de mi acompañante que se servía ese día y como no podía ser de otra manera, también estaba a la altura. Sin duda, me habría gustado probar más de lo que se ofertaba.
En definitiva, se suele decir en España que «quien da primero da dos veces» y tratándose de Don Végane, «qui donne tôt, donne deux fois»: ser el primer restaurante vegano de la ciudad te hace marcar diferencias con los que vienen después y vaya que sí lo hace. Es la mejor opción vegana de la ciudad de Québec.

Don Vegan is a must-visit. It is a welcoming place with delicious food and great service. I had the dumplings, mushroom risotto, and finished with the poor dessert. The waitress helped me with the menu and made great recommendations. I hate that I didn't make it back for a second visit before leaving town.

Nous sommes venus déjeuner et avons choisi le menu du jour qui était délicieux : crème de champignons en entrée, Mac and cheese et soupe thaï coco en plat principal et croustade aux bleuets en dessert. Tout était excellent, les serveurs étaient très sympathiques et nous avons payé 19 dollars par personne.

This spot is not to be missed! The menu is huge - options across classic Italian to Asian fusion and everything in between. The atmosphere is so cool, in the old port area this is a cozy spot with a full bar and intimate space.

First of all, nice restaurant, lovely stuff. Everything 100% vegan. They also offer breakfast. Came here for saturday eve, to get sure better make a reservation, was completely full, got one of the last tables. They speak english.
Ordered the Cauliflower popcorn, the phad thai and general tao tofu. Sizes are good and filling.
All in all its a healthy meal, which tastes ok. Think (and the recommendations confirm) its tasty for a lot of people.
Popcorn was a little dry, it comes mit mayo. Tofu und both main dishes is fried, but not in that typical spongy way.

I had their squash risotto with le bloody virgin mocktail. I still crave their risotto, it’s so delicious! Loved the drink as well. The vibe is great, plus their servers are very knowledgeable and friendly! Will surely be back whenever I’m visiting Quebec City!

Yeah, this place was an absolute riot. The food was great, the service fast, and the atmosphere around was brilliant, people signing, dancing, enjoying the city. We went home belly’s full and smiles all around. Up the mighty Don Vegan.

Thai noodle soup with noodles and vegetables, sesame seeds and tofu. So flavorful!
Impossible Burger with lettuce, tomato, cheese sauce, pickled onions, arugula, and who knows what else!
Bibimbap had perfectly cooked veges, rice, pickled radish, rice noodles, tofu and a great gochuchang sauce.
I wish we could stay a few more days!

I had not much hope of finding decent food in the tourist hub that is the old city of Quebec - you don’t want to hear the traditional Canadian foodstuffs! But here at this pleasant, sophisticated, restaurant, Don Vegan, there were throngs of shoot diners enjoying their lunch. There was a separate menu of the day which included an extremely tasty salad and a risotto of crispy cauliflower and a nutritional yeast development of some intricacy. Topped off by an almond and chocolate dessert, Don Vegan has brought an old vegan (me) considerable comfort. Merci beaucoup!!

We both had a lunch that came with an appetizer and a main meal, which looked fantastic and tasted even better. We did not expect that in this touristy area. Also, staff was really focused and kind, even throughout hectic times.

So many fantastic vegan options, I already want to go back to try more! We got the Donplings, which I would gladly eat an entire bowl filled with them they were so good, the mushroom risotto (amazing!) and the agnolottis (cashew and spinach stuffed pasta with nutritional yeast sauce, sauce flavour was a bit overwhelming but still nice).

AMAZING food, service, atmosphere. Brought my non-vegan family here and they all said it is excellent as well. We got the gnocchi, agnolottis, burger, and bibimbap. I’d definitely come back next time I’m in Quebec.
