Pizza dive - Edit
I needed to find a quick meal at a late hour, after most other places have closed. This place fit the bill: it is a tiny pizza joint, counter serve, no tables inside (but you could wolf down your pizza slices on stools or in a couple of functional outside tables). The pizza slices I had were not healthy oriented, not gourmet… but they were quite good for someone looking for a quick, late bite

Great pizza - Edit
We had the vegan margarita which was delicious, slices are huge and they are heated up so you can enjoy them hot. The cashew cheese was amazing

Very good! - Edit
We tried the vegan pepperoni and the one just with cheese, both were delicious. Sadly, they didn't have calzones today!

I was shocked at how good these pizzas were. Definitely the best I’ve had from pizzas on display. The slices are expensive but massive.

NY Pizza in Dublin - Edit
Really good vegan slices. It was served hot and fresh. The crust was very NY Style - on point. And cheesy. Lovely option for lunch or after the pub!

Yummy pizza! - Edit
We ordered both vegan slices (cashew ricotta and the chicken one). My boyfriend said this was his fave pizza slice in Dublin for sure. The vegan chicken was lovely. Would definitely go back!

Yummy pizza - Edit
When I visited, there was two vegan options - a pepperoni or one with cashew ricotta. I chose the ricotta one and it was a huge slice and nice and tasty. The vegan cheese was nice enough (tasted like standard vegan cheese) but the cashew ricotta was so delicious!

A slice of NY in Dublin! - Edit
The only time I'd ever had vegan pizza by the slice was in Brooklyn so finding this was a real treat.

I travelled from Seattle, WA to Dublin for amazing NY pizza!!! - Edit
Ok, I didn't actually travel all that way *just* for NY pizza but ... I was pleasantly surprised when I accidentally came across DiFontaine's, just north of the River Liffey. This Brooklyn boy sees "NY style pizza" and well, I stop in my tracks!!! I was just visiting the Dublin area for the first time and hadn't realized how vegan friendly Dublin can be so I didn't expect them to have vegan options. Thankfully, I was mistaken, they had a couple of different types of vegan slices.
Read moreThe pizza was really good. The texture was consistent with thin sliced NY pizza, the slices were a bit larger than your average NY slice, a good "problem" to have :). It feels good in the hands to have that NY slice that you can fold in half (don't cut it with a knife and fork ... don't you dare!!! haha). The cheese had an even melt to it, this in contrast to some places that use vegan cheese shreds which gives an inconsistent look, feel and melt, but no...DiFontaine's was right on point!! Another nice added touch was the vegan mayo dipping sauce available for the crust - oh my, that was delicious!
They also have a vegan calzone available but it takes about 15 minutes to make so we didn't have the chance to try.
One thing I noticed about Dublin eateries, they tend to close fairly early to what I'm used to, maybe 8pm or 9pm. DiFontaine's is open pretty late every day, later on some days than others. So if you're looking for a late night snack and feeling abandoned by the other local eateries, don't worry ... DiFontaine's has your back :P

Pros: Great smooth melt on the cheese, Dipping sauce available for the crust, Late night hours
Cons: I have to fly 9 hours for a slice :)

Very good vegan pizza - Edit
There are a couple vegan options. I only tried the vegan ricotta pizza but it was very good and I would get it again. They sell by the slice and the slices are huge so one to two is plenty.

A slice to remember - Edit
They have two vegan pizza slice options, but they are not shown in the display. Instead just ask them about it and they’ll be happy to tell you. It was a large slice with vegan sausage and vegan cheese that had a strong taste to it.

Tasty vegan pizza - Edit
I was delighted that they still had vegan pizza since there was none in the display case. I got the vegan sausage slice. €7.50 is expensive for a slice but it was a big portion and tasty. We were lucky to get a stool as it was relatively quiet.

Simple but good - Edit
I got the vegan pizza with sausage. There was also a vegan vegetable pizza there. One slice is the perfect amount. Not sure what brand of cheese they use, but it's good. Would recommend for a quick bite.

Delicious pizza - Edit
The pizza is sooo tasty. Great mix of vegan cheese used. Loved the spicy ‘sausage’ one. The margherita was great too. Pizza slices are huge! On the pricey side but that’s just Dublin nowadays.

A dream - Edit
The pizza is a dream. Unfortunately a little more expensive than the non-vegan pizzas. The 2 times we were there they had no vegan calzone (just the pizza slice)

Pizza in a pinch - Edit
Pizza sold by the slice. Two vegan choices here - margarita and a calzone. I didn’t try the calzone, just the margarita. The slice was huge! It was hot with a nice thin and crispy base, but some vegetables would have been nice as cheese alone was a little bland. I’ll try the calzone if I’m back again.

Boring and overpriced - Edit
I ordered a slice of the vegan pizza which consists of only vegan cheese. No toppings other than cheese. The slice was big, but the taste was bland and boring, so the size of the slice did not create much value for me. In addition, I paid around 8 USD for a single slice (nearly the same price as close to a whole pizza at other places with more toppings than just vegan cheese). The selection of vegan pizzas only costisted of, at least to my observations, that one slice of the vegan pizza. I waited several minutes to get my two ordered slices as the place was overcrowded and loud. The staff was not too friendly neither. I don't think we exchanged eye contact once.

Kinda dry - Edit
This wasn’t terrible but it tasted pretty dry and was very overpriced. I think it was about 8 dollars per slice. With just cheese.
