University dining center is open to the public

The Design Innovation Hub dining hall has been getting buzz on a local vegan website. As I enjoy visiting Kent State University, I was curious about this one. First of all, this dining hall is open to the public; you don’t have to be a student, Faculty, or an employee.
Second, everything is carefully labeled. And not just concerning vegan, but also regarding what foods are nut free or gluten-free, for example. Finally, we were wowed by the experience. There were so many vegan choices. The staff, on hand at every station, were able to answer questions about food ingredients.
At the veggie grill station, responding to my question about substitutions and veganIzing, the station employee offered to substitute beef with tofu for a veggie grill entrée over rice. It was freshly made. It was delicious. It was not salty or greasy.
Adding to that satisfying entrée, I also enjoyed a bowl of fresh fruit, and another bowl of salad greens.
Nice to know that this resource is available and open to the public.

Pros: Vegan options , Inexpensive - all you can eat, Spacious

Cons: Credit card only, no cash, Fixed price. You can’t go in for a small eat
