Everything’s delicious! - Edit
I had the shawarma « chicken » and my friend the Gluten free Mac n’ cheeze. I don’t often get to try shawarma and it was delicious! I brought back a s’mores brownies to my husband and we both loved it.
Read moreThe latte was great and the cinnamon bun... lets just say I usually don’t like/eat cinnamon buns as I find them boring, but this one was fluffy and just sweet enough.
My friend and I wanted to go back the day after, but oops! They are closed on Mondays.
Pros: Delicious & tasty, healthy, Friendly staff, The baked goods!

Delicious homemade food! - Edit
Had checked Happy Cow beforehand to check out vegan places before taking a drive out to Oakville and came across Dar Nabati . Love falafels so decided to try it out. Everything on the menu sounded delicious making it hard to decide so I asked our server for recommendations for most popular dishes. For an appetizer my non vegan mom and I chose Caulipower Bites with harissa , Hallo Me ( grilled halloumi sandwich) and Favalous Falafel Plate and mint lemonade. We thoroughly enjoyed all of the dishes and devoured everything! Freshly prepared, well seasoned and good portions. Really happy that we visited this cafe!

It's OK I guess. - Edit
Went there on 2 separate occasions to give them a 2nd shot.
Read moreTried 4 signature dishes: Falafel plate, Egypt's most Fungi, Streets of Kairo Kofta Kabab, Saucy Butter chickpeas, and the Manakeesh/Zataar appetizers.
Falafels were too dry and the rest of the signature dishes were kind of bland. Lots of fillers too, not much of the main dish.
The Zataars were the only items that had some good flavour, but you only get a small portion for the price, so it becomes very very expensive to try and fill up on that.
No free parking by the restaurant; so you gotta find some place in the backstreets.
It's more like a $$ restaurant, even though it's listed as just one $.
Not very filling, kind of bland, not good value either. But it's fully vegan.
Pros: Vegan
Cons: Bland, Small Portions

Best Middle East style vegan food - Edit
Absolutely love it! We tried their signature dishes: mama’s shawarma plate and streets of Cairo kofta kabab, both are excellent, definitely coming back to try other dishes.

Delicious Middle Eastern Vegan Food! - Edit
We were so happy to have found all-vegan Dar Nabati, in Oakville! The space is cute and nicely decorated. There is a fridge to pick up some vegan grocery items too. Our favourites were the vegan fried egg (HOW did they make this?!) which was alarmingly authentic and truly delicious, and the cinnamon buns. Bonus points that the owner supports charitable organizations such as Black Youth Helpline! (We ate here in 2019, and I'm late posting this review!)

Eggless salad! - Edit
Eggless salad sandwiches is really good. We also like the chocolate croissants. My husband has enjoyed some of the bowls and other food, I’m not a fan of the spices. Would not recommend the cinnamon buns. They have some frozen prepared foods that are hard to find which is pretty cool! They also have a small selection of clothes and other products that are vegan.

Best vegan restaurant I’ve been to so far! - Edit
Oh my goodness! Although I have been to more upscale vegan restaurants, Dar Nabati has to be my favourite in general! The space is cute, well-decorated and friendly. Service was amazing. I ordered the butter ‘chicken’, ‘chicken’ shawarma, cauliflower wings, fattoush, manayeesh and Lahmajoun, all so incredibly good! Texture, taste, seasonings, spice, presentation, portions, selections were all on point. The menu is brilliant because of the Mediterranean twist; especially with the ‘chicken’ shawarma, my vegan family was so confused on how it was vegan. My parents are also Middle-Eastern Armenian, so they definitely know their Mediterranean food and they thoroughly enjoyed everything. Lovely vegan restaurant in Oakville, Ontario... highly recommend!

Super impressed! - Edit
I had seen this place on here before and also wanted to go but didn’t get the chance until today! I was planning on getting something for me and my boss on my lunch break at Aroma a few doors down but the line was extremely long and it’s notorious for long wait times for food so I zipped in here instead. The store was completely empty (a shame in hindsight) and the lone staff member was very friendly and worked efficiently as I told him I was in a rush. He even got my food started for me while I waited for my boss to get back to me with her order! I ordered the the Halloumi Sandwich and Eggplant Parm Pasta with a hot chocolate and Americano. He offered to have me taste the hot chocolate to see if I wanted him to add maple syrup or cane sugar which I thought was really nice😄All of the food was amazing! I especially like the zaatar spread on my sandwich and that it was panini pressed. I would suggest asking what comes on the sandwiches as it’s not listed on the menu, if I wasn’t pressed for time I would’ve asked if I could replace the tomato with something else but that’s just personal preference. The best part though was the chocolate croissant I got for dessert! I’ve been trying to find a vegan chocolate croissant for SO long and this one was fantastic! Overall amazing experience, wish I could’ve asked the staff member his name but I had to rush out! Will definitely be back as soon as I can!

SUPERB - Edit
Dar Nabati was an excellent choice for vegan dining in Oakville. I had their chik’un shawarma and the tahini sauce was extremely delicious. Must try their turmeric latte if you’re interested in a spiced up sippin’ ‘sperience.

Tasty food - Edit
We ordered a chikun shawarma bowl and halloumi sandwich. Both were very tasty. I've never had vegan shawarma before; I'll definitely get it again. I also look forward to trying the rest of the menu.
Read morePrice: the prices are reasonable. 8.95 for the shawarma is comparable to many other shawarma joints and is way less than other vegan restaurants. #no greedyveganshere
For those thinking about trying this place; absolutely, you should try it.
Seating: the seating area is a bit crowded. If all the tables had been occupied, people would be bumping for sure.
Pros: good flavourful food, small grocery , reasonable prices
Cons: seating area too congested
