Maybe my expectations were too high - Edit
I was very happy that there is an option to get vegan donuts in den Haag and when I went into the store and saw all the yummy looking donuts I was very excited to hear which ones are the vegan ones. Once I asked I was told only the ones without glazing that were displayed a bit on the side are the vegan ones. You can then order it with a glazing of your choice that they have stored in plastic buckets behind the counter. When I was there we could only choose between two flavours. One was something with berries the other one passion fruit. We chose to try both. The donuts were just dipped deeply into the plastic bucket and then handed to us to eat them. Since this was liquid glazing it was dripping and therefore really difficult to eat. Then the donut it self was a bit chewy and the glazing just tasted like pure sugar. So all in all the experience sadly was mostly negative. The staff was very friendly though and it still wasn't the worst vegan donut I have eaten so far. Maybe with lower expectations I would have enjoyed it more.

There are quite reviews on here which say that the donuts taste “old” and “stale” because of their chewy texture BUT I love a chewy donut, it feels like it has substance which I would expect from an artisanal donut. There were a couple of different toppings to choose from (which were vegan) but we had the dark chocolate and cinnamon sugar - delicious! Will definitely be going back.

Great to have a place to get vegan doughnuts, but they weren’t that great unfortunately.. Nice enough but a bit chewy, like they were old. 30 secs in the microwave helped (I took them to work). Very friendly staff though and the packaging is eco-friendly 🌱

Many vegan donut options - Edit
There were lots of vegan options. You had to ask what they were, though, which makes it more difficult to order. The guys was very friendly and put it in an eco-friendly cardboard box. I’ve never had a vegan donut which had so much bite to it.

Very friendly service and a whole range of flavors, but truthfully the donuts aren’t fantastic. They’re rather tough and chewy. Wouldn’t revisit.

I don’t know if I’m just unlucky but I’ve been there twice now for a vegan donut and get an old chewy donut that is most definitely not worth 3 euros. Not going back there anymore!

There are always different flavours available and all the ones I have tried so far were so good. They also deliver with UberEats. The donuts are a bit expensive but it's perfect if you really crave a good vegan treat

The vegan donuts are actually bare donuts and you can select from a variety of vegan toppings to put on top of the donut, which they do on the spot. The donuts taste a bit like the Dutch "oliebol".

The shop had at least 5 different vegan donut flavours. The staff took the time to explain each and every flavour. Incredibly soft and fluffy donuts. This is the place for you if you like donuts!

There are always one or two vegan donuts. On special days or in the weekends there can be more. Flavours differ. When I visit Donuts&co there were 4 options with complete different flavours as hibiscus raspberry, matcha green and poppy seed vanilla.
