nice vegan restaurant

It used to be vegetarian with milk and egg but now they changed to vegan. I like their mama fried rice which really delicious but quite salty (you can ask for less salt) and also rou chuo rice.

Nice veg restaurant in the area but prices are slightly higher

This is probably one of the most expensive eatery in the Zi Zai Group as it is located in a shopping mall. Recommend the fried dishes especially the Mamak Noodles with lots of flavor in it though it can be quite spicy. Despite the higher price, still a great veg place to have a meal around Marine Parade area.

Pros: In a shopping mall, Taste good

Cons: Expensive

Great!

Had a delicious meetup gathering at the newly opened restaurant specialising in Chinese, Local and western cuisine.

Vegan items not clearly marked although items with eggs are labeled.

What we tried:
• Sweet & Sour Oyster Mushrooms
Really good. The mushrooms are fried and covered with sweet and sour sauce. The sauce isn’t so ‘gao’ that’ll put you off. Pretty good.

• Thai Style Tofu
Tofu is so soft! Goes well with the sauce with just a lil spiciness to it.

• Carrot Cake with Petai Beans
Definitely my favourite among all the dishes we tried tonight. The taste of petai beans is just right, can tell that it’s still fresh. Would love it more if there’s wokhei.

• Shiitake Mushrooms with Broccoli
This dish is like a staple, always ordered whenever there’s a group dinner at a Chinese restaurant. Not soggy at all, all cooked just right with the flavours and all.

• Roasted Brinjal
Interesting dish. It came with generous amount of raw veggies on the side. Love the slightly charred flavours of it, easy to tear apart.

• Rendang
Spicy.
I find the saltiness just right, goes well with rice. The rest found the dish to be a lil too salty for their liking.

Pros: Lots of vegan options., Staff are trained to understand vegan needs

Cons: Menu not labeled if vegan
