I definitely don't agree with the blah reviews! This is my husband and my favorite Chinese place! I have a gluten intolerance, and I can order anything from the gluten-free menu and customize it with vegan options (or vice-versa if it's one that can be made gluten-free). My favorite is GF Peanut Butter Tofu... they grill the tofu SO nicely! I also love the curry noodle soup. My husband usually gets the twin generals (mock duck and tofu) and curry puffs. They're really great for delivery/take-out too... packed nicely and super hot! 😊

Ordered veggies with spicy garlic sauce and add tofu. It was ok. Also ordered veggie spring which were iceberg lettuce with a few noodles in a rice wrapper. Would try voodo taco, freshii, and some other places instead.

This place is SO good. My whole extended family loves it. They have an entire vegan menu, and you can make any substitutions or additions to your meal that you want. A great place for a quick meal or a meal with a large group.

I did not have a bad experience at Crystal Jade; however, I have gone a couple of times and have not been pleased both visits. The staff is very nice, but the food is not good. Yes, they have a vegan menu, but personally I don’t want just a plate of tofu covered with sauce.

I asked to see the vegan menu and ordered a vegan dish. They brought it out and the rice had little chunks of egg in it that I was lucky to notice before eating. Very disappointed. Plus the rest of the food was not very good.

I come here quite often. If you're vegan/vegetarian travelling through Omaha - this place is a really short jaunt off the freeway. Ask for a vegetarian menu - they have a very large selection of different Asian dishes .

We stopped in here for lunch and enjoyed it very much. Vegetable dishes have their own section and most are vegan. So there were maybe five dishes to choose from. I had the seven flavor veggies, which was delicious. The omnivores with me were happy, too. Oolong tea was nice and strong. Service was very fast. Not crowded for Saturday lunch.

Crystal Jade has an all vegetarian (mostly vegan) menu upon request. It is full of options and include tofu and mock duck. Although most items are marked vegan anyway, it does say at the top that any item can be made vegan, but I didn't ask about that.

My husband and I had a fantastic meal here yesterday and will definitely visit this place often when we are in Omaha. The atmosphere is relaxing, the service is great and the food is delicious! I had the Twin Generals and my husband had the Twilight Delight. The Twin Generals was definitely the favorite, but both were delicious. We also had the curry noodle soup and vegan egg rolls, which were great as well. I highly recommend Crystal Jade! Make sure to ask for the vegan menu!

My husband and I are both vegan and found this restaurant on the Happy Cow site as we were driving through town. We were so surprised how amazing the Twilight Delight (mock duck, tofu and veggies- we ordered extra mushrooms), spring rolls and curry soup. Absolutely delicious!

I cannot get enough of this place..by far my favorite restaurant in Omaha. It's clean, quite, and very veg-friendly. The owners are super kind and will always try their absolute best to accommodate and please you. The dinner portions are huge and beautifully presented with adorable veggie carvings. If you are curious about their menu, just check out the website. My personal favorites: Lucky 7, Volcano Tofu, Twin Generals, Beef Noodle (replaced w/ mock duck), Curry Noodle Soup (free on Wednesdays!), Peanut Butter Tofu and Sesame Tofu. I often replace tofu dishes with mock duck, because it is RIDICULOUSLY good. They also have frozen drinks and $3 martinis, and super cheap beer. I find it unfair that I can't rate it 5 cows simply because they aren't 100% veg. I highly recommend this place to anyone. If you are in the area, you must check it out!

The staff and restaurant as a whole are very accommodating. Vegetarian/Vegan menu is separate and very extensive. You won't go hungry here! They serve a variety of Asian and Southeast Asian dishes and they are delicious and hearty. We went for the Vegan night on Wednesday where you get half-price vegan apps and a free curry noodle soup bowl with the purchase of an entree - wow. I had been looking for my to-go Asian restaurant way before I became a vegetarian, and I have found it!

This place is excellent. The staff is very friendly and the food is out of this world! Clean and open dining room. Huge selection of dishes (they have a vegan menue - if you ask, loaded with goodies!). Price if very reasonable and my "non-vegetarian" friend had an enjoyable dinner experience. So good we had to take the left overs with us. You wouldn't take something with you if it was just so-so would you?

We have used Sweet and Sour Sauce for the last 20 years at our restaurants and have not had one complaint. We are sorry if you didn't like the sauce or the tofu or the two combined. Just to let you know and anyone who read this post, if the customer does not like the entree ordered, he or she can substitute it for a different entre. We are here to serve you and wish that you would have told us before leaving hungry and vowing not to come back. We made this special menu for our vegan customers and if you see an item where we need to correct, please advise us. Thanks to Bruce Karlquist for teaching us how to cook for Vegans. He discovered Crystal Jade March of 2010. He came to our restaurant so often so we decided to make a Vegan/Vegetarian menu for him. We keep making additions and improvements to this menu.
