recent trip back east someone took me here, they hadn't tried it yet but knew we are vegan.
This is NOT what new school vegan baking has evolved to. Vegan baking has come a long way since the 90s and then some, and what they put out here is a step back into bad times and making you think you should be grateful for whatever bad food they give. Flours and powders should NOT pour out of a pastry like grains of sand, not integrated into the batter. Unacceptable!!
No idea how they stay in business with weak examples but having 'vegan' in the name is NO EXCUSE! That was a Philly thing back in the day that saying 'vegan' meant an automatic acceptance in the community. Their vibe is be lucky and take it. Gross all the way around, be better Philly.
Update: someone thought I was mad at free samples. That was a bad read. This place, I didn't have any samples nor is that the point. Put out crappy product, vegan or no, call it out, this was junk, so much so yall wanna to filter me out? I went to Horizons when it was in KOP, I know old school Philly vegan standards and this ain't even close!
