The owners of this business let me come over 12 hours by bus from São Paulo to stay at their hostel after telling them I was vegan looking to stay in their vegan hostel only to arrive and tell me they are new owners and not vegan. Revolting people.

This place is incredible! Victor is one of the best chefs I got to know. With my husband we were coming 3 months everyday (February-April 2022) for the lunch and never ate the same meal. All the time different, super delicious and 100% vegan. Victor was even making his own chocolate from cacao nuts, tofu from soya beans and fermented cheese from cashew or almond nuts. Never ate so tasty cheese 🤤 we even tried to learn how to do it but it didn't work out for us 😅 The community in the hostel is magical, we've made strong connection with beautiful spiritual people, having beach parties by the fire and great time with them. Definitely will be coming back to the magic island Floripa ✨ however, I'm not really sure if the hostel is still open 🥺😥 better check in advance

Read moreThere's a bus that comes to this area. You can also catch an Uber. Street parking only. Anything left in your vehicle at night is at risk. The neighborhood is very quiet and 10 minute walk to the beach and some hikes. There is a small grocery store nearby.
There are small lockers available, bring your own lock. A sheet, thin blanket and pillow provided.
There is another small town a 15 minute walk away with a few small restaurants. One has ok açaí bowls.
Here you'll find some of the most beautiful beaches on the island. Stay in this hostel if you want to know the beaches of the south of Florianópolis (Praia dos Azores, Pânano do Sul, Praia da Solidão, Matadeiro Beach, Praia da Armação, Campeche, etc.). They are also close to the most beautiful ecological trails in the middle of the preserved Atlantic Forest: the Saquinho trail, the Sertão trail and the Lagoinha do Leste beach trail. The Solitude, Sertão do Ribeirão waterfalls and Lagoa do Peri Municipal Park are nearby.
It's 8 miles from Florianopolis-Hercilio Luz International Airport.

They put a lot of time and effort into the food making different things each day and had loads of gluten free options
Best buffet breakfast we had in South America by a long way and it’s included. Wide variety that changes each day, all homemade and super delicious.
They also make a buffet dinner which costs R$35 which is super nice and all you can eat as well. All the food is really interesting and healthy. They have homemade beers as well which were great.
Also super comfy beds and some great hikes to do around the area

Costa Hostel Bar is located in Florianópolis, south of the island in the Costa de Dentro neighborhood at 300m from the beach.
Waterfall and nearby ponds complete the place offering options to enjoy its diversity.
The Hostel has private rooms with double bed and the others are shared and very spacious. Bathrooms in female and male versions.
A social room, leisure area to enjoy, read, play, talk. Also an internal and external courtyard.
The breakfeast is included and it´s 100% vegan. We offer a social and shared kitchen where guests can cook their food. It has to be 100% vegan.
We have a Bar & Restaurant attached to the Hostel, where all the food produced is Vegan. We have the will to transmit to our guests and regulars a form of conscious food, adding organic, agroecological, natural, integral products free of preservatives. As well as the very elaboration of our food, considering the time of production, alchemy, creativity and time to be co-creators of the menu of each day.
