Between 3 and 4 stars! - Edit
You'd find it hard to find Ultra Processed Food here! All the fruit and vegetables are grown on site in the large garden at the back of the restaurant. You can book a tour of the gardens at certain times with the head gardener to find out more before you eat.
Read moreIt's not clear just by looking at the menu which items are vegan, but the staff are happy to run through the menu with you to tell you which dishes are vegan or can be made vegan. At the time that we visited we were told that the dishes that could be adapted to be vegan just had the animal items take out, there wasn't a substitution, so they don't give you an extra veg item to make up for it. Therefore we just stuck to the items that were actually vegan. Risotto was the only vegan 'main' item but we ordered a few sides and starters and ended up with a really tasty meal overall, we experienced a variety of flavours and everything was cooked and prepared to a very high standard. There was plenty to eat, we didn't leave hungry and we were very happy with our selection of dishes.
It was great to have a meal of wholefoods beautifully presented and friendly staff, the person we spoke to about the options showed a full understanding of vegan requirements.
We don't make fancy desserts at home so we were looking forward to seeing the dessert menu, however after double checking with a staff member the only thing vegan was sorbet. We decided to give dessert a miss.
Would give 4 stars if there was another vegan main option and a proper fancy vegan dessert.
Loved the decor and the well looked after gardens.
Ideal for a special occasion.

Always a winner, fabulous vegan food that doesn't just take the protein out, but creativity adds it in.
