Vegan classic Thai food paradise

Great food and low prices plus many options make this place hard to beat. And it has a coconut smoothie bar adjacent to it. They also deliver through Grab app. There’s other great veggie options around but this place’s business hours are all around for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Pros: Many options for Vegan, Vegetarian, and Jain, Traditional Thai food classics only + salads , Spicy and oily levels at your request

Cons: Somewhat noisy due to the smoothie bar blender , Located on a main street, and with no door

Good food but service lacking

The food was pretty good- large portion of salad. They ran out of curry apparently so we could only get a curry flavoured fried rice. The food took ages to arrive and it seemed that they were prioritising deliveries over the customers at the restaurant, as we all seemed to be waiting a long time.

Pros: Cheap food , Good portions , Tasty food

Cons: Ran out of some food options , Long wait time

Perfect

The food is great and this has become my favourite vegan restaurant in Chiang Mai. The price for the food could be more expensive when you think of what other restaurants charge.

Pros: Lots of options , Super cheap , Delicious food

Cons: I wish they would charge more

Perfect everyday restaurant

I really lucked-out having this place just a short walk from where I was staying. The menu is huge, as are the portions, and it’s all very fairly priced.

Each item on the menu costs around 50 baht, and each one is a meal. Get two items and you have a very large meal.

It’s all Thai food, and is a really high quality.

If you’re staying nearby, this is the kind of place that you could come to everyday given how cheap it is, and how much variety there is on the menu.

Name change - Gin Pak Cafe

found the cafe however now has a different spelling in the name … I had massaman curry and my wife had a soup dish … I think the cafe caters for the Thai palate as I found the food average but my Thai wife tasted both dishes and liked them

Pros: clean cafe, quick food preparation and large menu

Nothing special

Didn’t like the food here
Had high hopes - good that it’s all veggie but the taste is bland
Ordered the stir fried yellow curry first, but couldn’t eat it - was so bad taste It was not eatable
Thankfully they offered me a second dish but the papaya salad wasn’t good either

Pros: Friendly

Cons: Yellow curry , Bland

Tasty but could be better

The Burmese tea leaf salad was delicious! I put medium spicy and to be honest expected it to be spicier. The tofu and holy basil was good too, but could have some more flavor and spice.

A familiar Vegan/Veg restaurant in Santitham

This restaurant has just opened, so a few things were not ready at the time. I believe the menu with expand more in future. They offer a wide variety of Thai food.

They have decorated the place nicely. It feels like a place you could sit and relax for a while more so than some other Thai style Veg restaurants.

The menu looks very familiar to a certain Veg restaurant on the Northern side of the old city moat. The prices are very affordable. The menu is so extensive repeat visits will be necessary.

Pros: Good location, Low prices, Wide variety of Thai food

Cons: No Tempeh

Very tasty Thai vegan dishes

I always order from CMU Vegan with Grab and the food arrives fast and packed with care. Every single dish I've tried on the menu is fantastic. The spring rolls are next level and the som tam is so good!

A favorite

Of all the vegan restaurants we’ve tried in the 2 weeks we’ve been in Thailand this was a highlight! Really delicious, good prices, easy to find (followed google maps, it’s at the end of an alley parallel with / close to the main road). It was also only a 5-10 minute motorbike ride from the trail head for the Wat Pha Lat hike (Monk’s trail).

Pros: Tons of options, Good prices

Some of the best food yet!

We loved every bit of the food we ate! We had a spicy noodle soup that was Incredible! Yellow Curry Fried Rice, very tasty, fried mushroom plate which was every bit as delicious as it sounds. We also got 2 drink and each of them was very tasty and super refreshing. Highly recommend stopping her for a bite to eat after you do the Monk’s Trail Hike a few minutes away.

Pros: Tons of options, Great pricing, DELICIOUS

Cons: None! Stop looking, eat here!!!

Can adjust for taste & health, CHEAP!

Vast menu with super cheap dishes and a bunch of indicators in which you can adjust oil/no-oil and spice level. The food ranges from your standard Thai fare, to ones with unique variations e.g. I got a Som Tum salad that was filled with fresh cucumber instead of papaya. I also got Pad Kee Mao, both were simple, tasty and nice, and for under 100 baht, well worth it.

This place is tucked away in a little alleyway near Chiang Mai University - and is almost always very quiet. The atmosphere and ambience is simple but generally nice, if you’re around, do support this joint!

Great Food & Prices

Really nice food with Vegan versions of Thai classics. Have the option to have Oil/No Oil too which is great for those trying to eat healthy. Also some amazing fried treats for those ‘cheat’ days - try the carrot/corn fried things (sorry can’t remember actual name)

Pros: Great prices, Oil free options, Friendly staff

Cons: None
