Everything is vegetarian. We had two bento meal courses (one of them had a couple extra things, as shown in the pictures). It was a great quantity and nutritious! We must have arrived at a good time, because we didn't have to wait.
Not to be missed! Don't leave Koya without trying a traditional buddhist meal (specially if you aren't staying in a temple were you are most likely going to be offered that).
This is a no animal product little restaurant where you can enjoy local delicacies.
Their set meals and bentos sold out fast, expect queues and triple check their opening times.
For being a restaurant featured in Michelline Guides it is very affordable and trying shojin ryori is a delicate yet flavoursome experience.
