Easy, tasty Thai - Edit
It's not cheap to eat in Palm Cove, and for a vegan, it can be a bit tricky. But Choc Dee is an exception. You don't need to make a reservation in advance or fuss about ingredients. The staff understand vegan, and the online menu clearly states they can cater for a wide range of dietary issues, including vegans.
The menu is very specific and lists fish sauce when it's been used in a dish. Many dishes have the option of getting tofu instead of meat, prawns or fish. They can even do vegan entrees such as the spring rolls. Coconut rice and jasmine rice are vegan anyway, and they can do the roti without butter. The massaman, padang and stir fries are fantastic.
You can order in or take away, and it's really a no fuss, easy and affordable option in a beautiful location. Highly recommended.
