Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
I became vegan because I was stupid to not be vegan. How can anyone honestly deny the cruelty, pain and suffering caused from eating a meat and dairy based diet? Eating this way is screwing up our planet, destroying land and oceans, making us sick, denying the third world adequate nutrition, polluting our air and water ways, contributing to climate change, reducing available fresh water and is basically an unsustainable way of living. Sure, it's a bit different being vegan, but it's all for the better. I have to think a little more about my options when eating out, and I have to source the kindest options when it comes to healthcare, clothing, household goods. But all that's really done is help me to discover all these amazing brands and products in places I never would have looked before. Being vegan is the right thing to do and the best way to be.
